Northern California doulas…

Let me ask you something honestly

If you’re already busy with clients…
why are you still doing your own billing?

I know why.

Because up until recently, there really weren’t great options.

And now all of a sudden there are a lot of new doula groups and billing companies popping up because of the insurance changes.

But here’s the part most people don’t say out loud…

Not all of them are actually built to handle this long-term.

I didn’t start this because the benefit became available.

I’ve been running a multi-specialty group practice since 2022, seeing patients, working with insurance, and building real systems behind the scenes.

Doulas were added in 2025, but into something that was already established and already working.

So this isn’t new for us.

insurance verification, billing, claims, follow-ups, all of it.

A business name isn’t just branding, it’s a promise.

Our new name reflects:
• intention over noise
• community over transactions
• care that’s rooted, not rushed

It speaks to growth, connection, and doing things the right way, even when it’s harder.

This name feels like home.
And it finally says out loud what we’ve always stood for.

Instead of forcing something that no longer fit, we asked bigger questions:
Who are we really here to serve?
What do we stand for?
What kind of legacy are we building?

What came out of that reflection surprised us.
This wasn’t a setback, it was alignment.

We didn’t lose ourselves.
We found our power, our purpose, and our intention more clearly than ever.

As part of protecting our business long-term, we began the trademark process.
Paperwork, legal searches, the whole nine yards.

That’s when we learned something unexpected:
Our name was already trademarked.

Even though it wasn’t actively being used.
Even though we built something meaningful under it.

Frustrating? Yes.
The end of the road? Not even close.

This was the moment we had to decide who we really are as a business.

2026 already came in hot and not in the way we expected.
What felt like a major setback turned out to be a blessing we didn’t see coming yet.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been doing big, grown-up business things! Protecting our name, our work, and our future. And that process opened a door we never planned on walking through.

Something is changing.
And it’s actually really good.
