“But how do I know my baby’s getting enough milk?”
Ah, the million-dollar question every breastfeeding mom asks (usually at 2 AM while scrolling Google 😅).
Here’s the truth — every baby is different, but there are some science-backed signs that your little one is getting enough:
💧 Wet & dirty diapers: Expect at least 6 wet diapers and several poopy ones a day after the first week.
🍼 Steady weight gain: Most babies gain 4–7 ounces per week after the first few days.
😌 Content after feeding: Your baby seems relaxed and satisfied post-feed, not frustrated or sleepy right away.
👶 Active feeding: You can hear or see rhythmic sucking and swallowing.
If something feels off, trust that mama instinct — you know your baby best. Sometimes it’s just a simple tweak in latch, position, or feeding routine that makes all the difference.
That’s where we come in. 💕
At Growing Together, we offer one-on-one lactation consultations (in-person or virtual) to help you feel confident that your baby’s getting exactly what they need. No judgment, no confusion — just expert support from people who get it.
