erincascianocounseling.com If you are a human being coming up against a version of yourself, an experience, a profound loss, or a stage in life that has caught you off guard, you are my ideal client

I'm here to walk with you as you tend to your grief, feel your

joy, fail gracefully, fail with no grace at all, try again (and again), dance with impermanence, face rejection, learn a new way to do an old thing, love yourself, love your people (miss them when they are gone, or different), let your heart break, and rediscover (maybe even redefine) purpose. If you feel overwhelmed and my words resonate, I’m here to support you. Reach out to begin our journey together. In the meantime, think of someone you trust and send them this text: "I'm struggling, can you talk sometime?"

I’ve been in private practice for over six months (a half a year!!) now, and it's the only time I have ever felt like time was flying in the context of work, while simultaneously working really hard. Something I try to keep up with is my website and blog so that clients looking for what I got can continue to find me. In my recent blog post, I wanted to share some reflection questions that have been super helpful in my conversations, and in my conversations UNDERNEATH the conversations at work and in my life. (you may know them as VIBES.) They range from kinda beige to juicy, covering everything from goals to your current favorite song! (mine is too embarrassing to post 😅) Check them out! ✏️

Explore essential questions for self-reflection and growth in therapy with our six-month check-in guide. Discover how to assess your progress, celebrate achievements, and empower your journey toward self-discovery.

Some people are FOR REAL about the joy and terror of it ALL. That’s Lisa! She’s a GEM, and I’m not just saying that because I feel like we’re kindred spirits cut from the same rug. I recently got to know her, and she has an incredible ability to really connect with people. She believes in human potential, wholeheartedly. (That’s like, really a big deal.) That means she looks for it. That means if you’re a human, she is committed to seeing you clearly and believing what the truest more authentic part of you is. Even if it’s covered in shame or buried in trauma or lost in grief. I honestly kinda wish she could be my therapist. 😆 But I’m SO excited to be working with her at Whole Wellness Counseling. If you’re looking for a therapist, this one is the real deal.

Check out my new bloggy blog post about a new weekly practice that is, IMO, better than therapy, and that you can totally do.

Joining a writing group with friends has become a highlight of my week. We write for an hour and then share our stories, feeling seen and heard in a supportive space. It's a simple, joyful way to connect and enhance mental well-being. If you're looking for a meaningful way to bond with friends, cons

Joshalicious pistachio ice cream🍦is one of my favorite parts of fall!

🍂 THIS fall I’m also looking forward to opening up my schedule—FRIDAYS will be wide open for new and existing clients starting in SEPTEMBER!

Continuing to connect with even more people who have found their way to me is a dream come true. At the heart of my practice is deep reverence and respect for the version of myself—and the part of us all—that is terrified of life’s fragility, yet continues to trust in the power connection(human and/or divine).

🍂That said, I’m ALSO going to be holding a 12-week VIRTUAL group therapy group for individuals, currently in therapy or not, yearning for increased community and connection on their own individual journeys. This is a place to share experiences and celebrate resilience, or not celebrate resilience at all — and just be a little less alone in where we are. To be seen and heard—not luxuries, they are human NEEDS.

To inquire about 1:1 or group counseling with me this fall, please reach out at 716-339-3274 or support@wholewellnesscounseling.org ♥️

If you have ever taken to the internet and looked for a therapist, I bet my bottom dollar you have seen "Major Life Transitions" as something many list as a specialty. (I do!) But what exactly does that mean? In my own "major life transitions," I wasn't able to identify them as such. I just knew I felt different/new and amazing OR I felt different/new and really really scared. Please check out my new blog post where I talk about that a little more. I wrote it for:

🐛 the version of me who transitioned into motherhood
🐛 version of me who transitioned into motherhood again
🐛 version of me who transitioned from having a mother of my own transition into eternity
🐛 the version of me who was let low key let down after reaching a longterm goal and dream

They all felt seen and heard and held, and I hope you will too.

When I first held my children after they were born, I thought, “Hey...I know you. Oh my goodness.. I’ve never not known you. You've been here THE. WHOLE. TIME.” How can that be?!

HI 🫶🏻 I’m Erin. I enjoy headbands and holding space. I’m a Capricorn sun, Cancer moon, Scorpio rising, splenic projector, enneagram 2w1, INFP or ENFP (a true ambivert!)—yes these things are fun for me, I like to feel seen, sue me. 😏 I love my family, I love my friends and I love my dogs. My cats are okay.
One of my guiding beliefs is the truth that we, as human beings, have a fundamental need for connection. Connection is fostered when we are seen and heard, when we see and hear others, AND in knowing where one ends and the other begins. As a therapist, I specialize in grief and loss, which touches every aspect of life, and I take a strengths-based approach with a sincere belief we should be leading with those strengths when working together. Personality disorders? Brilliant ways we’ve learned to navigate this world. Neurodivergence? An evolved way of thinking and being. Anxiety and depression? Totally appropriate responses to the world we live in. In a world that’s riddled with despair, I’m a firm believer in the power of small, intentional steps to restore connection to ourselves, eachother, and beyond. We can’t change the despair part, but we can change the alone part. (I stole that)
Given the highly relational nature of therapy, much of its success depends on whether you and your therapist vibe or not. My hope for this space is to simply share a bit of myself, vibing—as an invitation—and as a repellent tbh. I want to offer insights (when they come), ideas (that may offer perspective), and validation (👀)Whether therapy is something you incorporate into your life or not, I sincerely believe our brilliance being witnessed does not depend on it and the idea that it does is SUCH a scam. So whether you’re about this therapy life or not, thanks for being here—I look forward to holding space here, in my emotional support headband, to vibe, and see, and hear, and be!
