I am thrilled to announce that we have a new member joining our team!!
Originally hired as our Prenatal Specialist, I quickly realized that her experience and passion spans well beyond just that.
She is a woman who loves to support other women in all phases of life. Her knowledge and experience will undoubtedly benefit so many in our community! The fastest promotion ever- She quickly moved from our Prenatal Specialist to our Women's Health Specialist ❤️
She is so very passionate about holding space for women in all phases of life and I could not be more excited for her commitment to our community. I am thrilled to see the impact she makes in this very much needed space.
I now am honored to introduce to you, Theresa Moore!
Theresa began her career in natural wellness in the early 90’s as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, and health club manager. Her passion for wellness grew and in 1997 she completed her massage training to earn the title of Massage Therapist. Throughout her massage career, she had the opportunity to work in several wellness settings including a health club, spa, chiropractic office and in her private practice. Theresa has also worked in the corporate setting offering chair massage and teaching wellness workshops to company employees. She has volunteered at local health fairs offered at hospitals and corporate centers. In 2012, Theresa began working with the Cornell University Women’s Swim and Dive Team each year at the Ivy League Championships.
Her passion for holistic wellness led her to several certifications in massage therapy and bodywork. Some of her training includes warm stone massage, foot reflexology, prenatal massage, sports massage, cupping, warm bamboo massage, craniosacral therapy, chakra balancing, raindrop therapy, aromatherapy, herbal massage, shirodhara and marma point massage, guasha and she is a Reiki Master Teacher.
Theresa began her Thai massage journey in the early 2000’s while working at a day spa. She was introduced to herbal compress and learned how to use poultices in her massage sessions. She fell in love with Thai Massage and continued to pursue her education. She studied herbal compress with Rose Griscom and supine, prone, side lying, seated, table Thai, and Thai foot massage with Living Sabai. Theresa also studied pregnancy and postpartum Thai massage as well as Intro to Thai medical theory with Naj Jacobson. She recently completed a 30-hour Reusi Dat Ton training course with David Wells expanding her knowledge of Thai culture and the foundations of Thai Massage and medicine. Theresa traveled to Chaing Mai Thailand and studied advanced Lana stretching and knees and elbows at ITM. While in Thailand, she also had the opportunity to take the herbal compress training at OM Sala, bringing her love for Thai massage full circle from where she began.
Theresa is a 600 plus hour trained yoga teacher with an emphasis in prenatal and postpartum yoga, Kundalini, and Kundalini Chakra Dance. Theresa has also been a Zumba Teacher since 2010. Theresa’s passion in women’s health led to studying and becoming a Birth and Postpartum Doula. She is currently enrolled in Midwifery courses.
Theresa is also trained in Bach Flower Therapy, herbalism and herbal medicine making. She also has extensive training in Ayurvedic nutrition, herbs, practices and bodywork. Theresa has also studied the Enneagram and includes her extensive knowledge when supporting her clients.
When she is not working, she loves spending time on her farm with her husband, three children and animals. She enjoys gardening, watercolor painting, needle felting and embroidery. She enjoys the outdoors and spends time hiking and kayaking.
