ATA is hiring for an OTP and an SLP!

If you have DIR/Floortime® experience, it will be a plus, though ATA also provides much training so not a “must”!
If you have a heart for children and wanting to work at a facility that truly creates change, then this will be the place for you. After-school hours is our greatest need.

Our Orefield clinicians saw a creative outdoor art activity in an Instagram reel (posted in the comments below) and immediately wanted to use it in their sessions! ☀️🎨

Leaf blower chalk monsters 🫟 turned out to be way more fun than they could have imagined—for both the kids and the clinicians!

Beyond the laughs and mess, this playful activity was a fantastic way to collaborate and target a wide range of OT and speech goals simultaneously!

One of our Orefield clients has been working hard preparing to run his first 5K tomorrow! With his clinicians and family members using DIR strategies throughout his treatment sessions and daily routines, Na’eem has made incredible gains in his ability to plan, sequence, and motor plan tasks, and we are so excited for him to take this one on! We are Team Na’eem and will be cheering him on the whole way!! Go Na’eem!!! 🏃🏿👏🏻🏅

Pay close attention to both the themes and scenarios children explore during play. Listen to their conversations, even if they’re talking to themselves or their toys, as this can provide valuable insights into their thoughts and emotions.

⦿ 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁:
While it can be tempting to offer suggestions or intervene, practice restraint. Let the child take the lead, and only join the play if they invite you to or if there is an unsafe situation unfolding.

⦿ 𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
When you do participate, ask open-ended questions that encourage deeper thinking and conversation. This can help children reflect on their play and experiences.
