As we head into our darker Fall and Winter months, many of us unknowingly experience some of the seasonal affects that can lead to depression. What many are not aware of is how impactful therapies, such as massage, can help! Here is a high level explanation from our American Massage Therapy Association publication:

Governor Kate Brown issues orders on COVID-19

Businesses asked to share how the current health crisis has impacted their business

Today, Governor Brown put forward an executive order to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Oregon. She issued Executive Order 20-05, which outlines rules that limit large public gatherings and ensure social distancing for the next four weeks. In her press conference, the Governor affirmed her commitment, not only to public health, but to ensuring that local business have the support they need to weather this health crisis. This includes support for small businesses who may be unduly impacted and face financial hardship.

In order to meet the threshold for federal small business assistance, Oregon businesses that have been impacted need to come forward and tell their story.East Metro Economic Alliance joins other business associations in requesting that these impacts be submitted to the Governor's Office as soon as possible. If you would like to share a story on the economic hardship please submit them to Leah Horner(leah.horner@oregon.gov), Governor Brown's Jobs and Economy Policy Advisor. If you would like EMEA to do it on your behalf - please send them to (administrator@eastmetro.org).

Our ability to access federal assistance is contingent on local businesses speaking up and letting the state know that they are struggling through these tough times. We thank you for your efforts to support local businesses.

Hello friends!
Change is coming for UrbanBoundary this month. As I am off to a yoga retreat in Costa Rica next week, I wanted to share news of a big change!
I am stepping down from my role at the PT clinic and will have additional hours at Thrive Yoga & Wellness! I am so excited to build my private practice and hope you’ll be excited too.
I will be available all day Tuesdays (even outside of what I have up as hours) so don’t hesitate to call or text if you need a time you don’t see listed. Tuesdays don’t work? Please just let me know what you need and I will do my best to find a time we can make it happen!

Hey all! Thanks for the likes on my new page! As you can see I’m still a little under construction so watch for updates here in the next little bit, but welcome!

After graduating with my professional massage certification, life kind of hit full force in the best of ways. Couple that with a huge bout of test anxiety and here we are 15 years later, a phenomenal family of my own, great job and still a lust for massage to take a larger role in my life. I’ve been supported hugely by my best friend and Husband Jason to take this leap and have found great people waiting for me to hurry up and open already.

I can’t wait to reconnect with those of you I haven’t seen recently and welcome you to the world of massage through my eyes and keep the flow going for those of you closer to me.
