What's an acceptable form of ID for your notary appointment?

In Oregon your ID can be expired up to 3 years before date of notarization. ID means:
* A U.S. passport or officially recognized passport of a foreign country OR
* A driver’s license or ID card issued by any state OR
* United States military ID card; ID card issued by a federally recognized Indian tribe; or a document issued by the federal, state, county, or local govt. All must contain the person’s photo and signature.

If you don’t have any of the above, and do not personally know the notary public, you can use a credible witness instead. A credible witness is an individual who personally knows the signer and can vouch for the signer's identity to the Notary. The credible witness must have a form of ID that matches the above criteria
