🚨 65 lbs down on Mounjaro 🚨

I'm under 200 pounds for the first time in almost seven years. It feels surreal. I'm a 25-year-old who's been battling weight issues pretty much all my life. I remember starting my first diet when I was only in 4th or 5th grade. I was bigger than most kids my age and I got my fair share of bullying because of it.

From then on, it was like being trapped in this never-ending loop - diet, lose some weight, celebrate, fail, and eventually gain it all back. When I hit college around 18, I jumped from about 180 pounds to 240 in just two years. I was always thinking about food. I did manage to lose some weight a few times, but each victory was short-lived. I'd always find myself back where I started, often even heavier.

By the time I hit 21, I knew I had a binge eating disorder. It was an emotional and physical mess. Food became this massive, unforgiving opponent that I just couldn't seem to conquer. I tried taking Vyvanse, and it helped, for a bit. But it also came with horrendous mood swings that damaged personal relationships, and its effectiveness seemed to wear off after a while.

There were countless moments when I would promise myself, "This week, I'm hitting the gym and starting a diet." But by the end of the day, I'd have failed and given up. I was living in misery, hoping for something, anything to change.

Then, in November 2022, everything did change. I discovered Mounjaro. I had restarted dieting a few months earlier, in August, when my weight was at an all-time high of around 265 pounds. I knew I had to try something different, or I was going to fall right back into old patterns. Fast forward to now, and I've managed to stay the course.

Honestly, Mounjaro has been a game-changer. Those nagging food cravings that once dominated my life are virtually non-existent. For the first time in my life, I feel full, satisfied, and not constantly thinking about the next meal. I've lost an incredible 65 pounds and have stayed consistent with my diet and exercise routine - working out five times a week doing cardio.

I'm not at my goal weight yet, but I can see the finish line, and it's so exciting. Next, I want to add some weight training to build muscle. It's been a wild ride, full of ups and downs, but I'm proud of how far I've come. And honestly, I can't wait to see where this journey takes me next.

I’m 5’9 and 43 years old
T2D and PCOS

I started on 2.5 on 10/12 and am now on 7.5.
The only side effects I’m experiencing are constipation and that I feel cold at times.

To anyone who is hesitant to get started, I want to let you know that this has been a life changer for me. I am in control of my eating and I’m life in general. I started back at the gym this week and actually enjoyed it. Clothes shopping is fun again and I don’t mind being in photos.

I fully accept that this is something I’ll need to use for maintenance for life and I’m beyond grateful I took a leap of faith and changed my life!

Mounjaro is a miracle drug!
