INDEPENDENCE DAY. IS THIS OUR LAST ONE?
Think about it PLEASE!

SCOTUS just decided the president can have absolute immunity for anything he/ she does. Explain why this is good. I don't get it. The balance of power and checks and balances put into our system of governance has been thrown out.

Independence day celebrates our declaration from British rule. George III was described as a tryant who took advantage of the colonies. In reality the Parlanentary ministers (think Congress and Senate) had the say about what the colonial policies were to be while the King could be as involved or not as desired. (www history com).

Today the USA has a very unbalanced Congress and Senate. It has slowly and quietly been influenced by big money and business to be in this state. SCOTUS is immorally (IMO) politically unbalanced and judgements have too often been made based on who put them in power and not ethical interpretation of the law.

It is to to EVERY citizen to wake up, get involved, get educated, get a brain. Challenge everything. Stop blindly following party lines and put thought behind every vote you cast. We gave lost rights already. I don't care to lose anymore rights because an egotistical, dictator wanna-be gets elected because you bought into his constant lies. People this is real ugly. GIVE A DAMN!

I happened to be born on the day that would celebrate one of my life's purposes - helping others. Today I officially dropped my RN license and am fully retired from that profession. But as all nurses know you are ALWAYS a nurse. I celebrate each and every one of you. You/we are essential. I love you all. I thought I would share this poem I received a number of years ago. I found it while cleaning out my file cabinet. Hope you enjoy.

Final days of office moving sale. Any quilters out there? Lots of linens - sheets, gowns, pillow cases (more than in the photo). If you don't need them on a bed you can cut them up and be creative. Also have a Hand Pan and Drum for sale. DM for info.
