Our world is in your hands right now! 🫶

We NEED to FILL our classes to make up for all the increased costs -or- increase the cost of our classes by about $25 per person.

The CPR world is different than a retail store or restaurant, where there's a set price range the market allows for. It's usually $85 to $125 in the Portland Metro area. We have kept our prices the same at $99 for AHA BLS or CPR/FA since the PANDEMIC, and would like to keep them there as it keeps us competitive in the market vs nickel and diming our customers. People feel we offer a great value at this price!

There is a huge increase of people asking for discounts, scholarships, and payment plans. The reality is - no one can afford to pay MORE. Please help us spread the word about CPR For Life and help us fill classes so we can continue to serve our community. We are struggling to stay afloat as it is, and increasing our prices doesn't really solve the problem. It just makes training less affordable and accessible. Thank you!

Only about 55% of people in Oregon who experience cardiac arrest receive CPR from people nearby while waiting for emergency responders to arrive. We're working to change that with our goal of doubling the survival of cardiac arrest outside of a hospital by 2030.

Another LIFE SAVED with CPR by a Student of CPR For Life!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week, a College Student contacted us to see if she could take a BLS course within a couple days to a week while she was home from college. We added a class to accommodate her schedule - knowing she would most likely be the only person in class. Teaching is more fun than paperwork, and this business was built helping 1 Student at a time when I first started out 10 years ago. I have always believed that ONE PERSON can make a huge difference and save a life! So I gladly teach those 1 person classes with that thought in the back of my head. "What if this 1 person saved a life? It would be so worth it!" ...and that scenario played out and paid off today!

Little did we both know, that exactly 1 week after her class - she would come across a major car accident and save a life with those same skills we were practicing that day!!!

It's pretty incredible how all of this came together with the timing of this class and the need for CPR!!

Our last CPR SAVE was in October 2025 by a young adult who was in our very 1st Babysitting class with her Girl Scout Troop and has renewed with us several times since. She witnessed a Mother collapse inside a store, and immediately began CPR, had someone grab an AED, and asked the woman's daughter to call 911. She lived!!

We are so proud of all our students who help make this world a better place with their life saving skills!!

"Why wouldn't you put that flyer for A Safe Place Family Justice Center and Clackamas Women's Services next to all the others on your Community Resource Table at CPR For Life?"

There's a much higher chance of someone looking at this flyer privately in the bathroom than while standing next to a group of strangers. People often feel afraid, ashamed, or embarrassed about the abuse they are experiencing, and asking for help or accessing resources is often difficult.

Remember, you can text 911 in the Portland Metro area. Send your address first, then which resource you need: police, fire, medical, then the situation if you can. You may not get to send the next message due to your safety, and the details may get lost in a long text... so send short messages.

11 years ago today I was Proctoring the CPR station at an EMT exam, and they offered me a part time job teaching students in the EMT & Paramedic skills labs. It was the beginning of my teaching career and a huge life change. It was a wonderful experience, and led to the most beautiful opportunities in life! Watching my students learn, grow, and help others is more satisfying than you can imagine. I became a CPR Instructor thru Chemeketa Community College in 2015, and started my business CPR For Life a year later! 🥰 As I wrap up my 10th year of business and my 11th year of teaching... I can't help but feel grateful to have helped so many students succeed, and for them to be the best Providers possible for their patients. It's truly a blessing to help people in their hardest times - whether it's in school or on the streets. 🥰
