Children's Center

Children's Center Work with the community to end child abuse and neglect through assessment, treatment, and prevention.

Children’s Center is a private, non-profit child abuse intervention center accredited by the National Children’s Alliance. Each year, Children’s Center conducts medical examinations and interviews for more than 400 Clackamas County children who are suspected victims of abuse and neglect—while providing resources, referrals, or other support to more than 300 additional families. Families are never billed for services at Children’s Center. Medical insurance and government grants account for approximately 60% of our funding. The remaining costs associated with medically assessing and supporting who are suspected victims of child abuse and neglect are covered by generous donors.

New Bears & Blankets Drop-Off location!

We’re excited to share that LJ's Cafe is now hosting a collection box in their cafe dining area/lobby! Huge thanks to their wonderful owner Lyndsay, who continues to generously support nonprofits throughout our community 💚

You can drop off new, unused stuffed animals and blankets at LJ’s-and don’t forget to treat yourself to a delicious coffee or sandwich while you’re there! ☕️ Your gift will help bring comfort, hope and sense of safety to local children this holiday season.

We are so thankful for our friends at the Daughters of the American Revolution, Susannah Lee Barlow Chapter, NSDAR, for their generous donation of stuffed animals, blankets, snacks, and school supplies! These thoughtful gifts bring comfort and care to the children and families we serve every day.

After a private tour visit to the Children’s Center, the Daughters of the American Revolution were inspired to take action. This wonderful group came together to collect much-needed items from their community, a heartfelt show of support that reminds every child they are valued and cared for.

We are excited to announce our Bears & Blankets Drive is officially underway! We need your help to restock and continue providing warmth, comfort, and care to every child who walks through our doors.

After an assessment, each child, and their siblings, receives a soft stuffed animal and a cozy blanket, a small but powerful symbol of comfort and safety when they need it most. You can help make that moment possible. 🧸🧶

Drop off new, unused stuffed animals and blankets at one of our amazing community partners hosting donation drop-off boxes!

When children and youth come to the Children’s Center for an assessment, our expert team is there to guide and support them every step of the way, and that care extends to their families, too.

Today, we’re celebrating our incredible Family Support Specialists! These trained mental health clinicians provide emotional support, education, and connections to community resources, helping caregivers understand the next steps and how to best support their children.

They also provide continuous follow-ups with families to ensure ongoing care and access to needed services, offering guidance and reassurance long after the initial visit.

Their compassion helps families feel informed, supported, and never alone. Thank you to our Family Support Specialists for the vital work you do in helping children, and their families, heal. 🌈💟
