Children's Center

Children's Center Work with the community to end child abuse and neglect through assessment, treatment, and prevention.

Children’s Center is a private, non-profit child abuse intervention center accredited by the National Children’s Alliance. Each year, Children’s Center conducts medical examinations and interviews for more than 400 Clackamas County children who are suspected victims of abuse and neglect—while providing resources, referrals, or other support to more than 300 additional families. Families are never billed for services at Children’s Center. Medical insurance and government grants account for approximately 60% of our funding. The remaining costs associated with medically assessing and supporting who are suspected victims of child abuse and neglect are covered by generous donors.

We were honored to collaborate with the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children (NADEC) during this week’s Oregon DEC Summit in Lake Oswego!

With close to 200 local partners in attendance over a powerful two-day training, it was inspiring to witness so many dedicated professionals come together to learn, connect, and advance efforts to protect children impacted by substance use and neglect.

We’re proud to be a partner with NADEC in this vital work.

A heartfelt thank you to Clackamas County Children's Commission for their generous support in helping provide the space for this important summit.

Together, we are building safer futures and stronger communities for children and families across Oregon and beyond.

What an incredible event we had at Clackamette Park on Saturday! We teamed up with Skating is Connection (SIC) to host a fantastic event in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The aim of Child Abuse Prevention Month of creating Positive Childhood Experiences and promoting resilience in children is so important, and SIC truly embodies that mission through their focus on strengthening relationships and community through artistic expression and healthy activity.

Despite the drizzly weather, we had an amazing turnout of about 100 kids and community members who were all engaged and excited to be there. It was so heartwarming to see everyone come together to strengthen relationships and build a stronger community through artistic expression and healthy activity.

A huge thank you to Push Movement and Dream Big City for their support in making this event possible. We couldn't have done it without them!

What an incredible gesture by the Family Law and Child Advocacy Association from Willamette University College of Law! The teddy bears collected during their annual Teddy Bear Tea Party will bring so much comfort and joy to the children who come through our doors.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of these kids and showing that there is a village that loves and supports them. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.
