Today, March 21st, marks World Down Syndrome Day.

Approximately 1 in 800 babies is born with Down syndrome, making it the most common chromosomal condition. Despite this, many individuals still face barriers to full inclusion and meaningful connection.

This year’s theme, “Together Against Loneliness,” highlights the importance of true inclusion. Loneliness is something we can address, and together, we can be part of that change.

At Neuro, we are proud to support World Down Syndrome Day by raising awareness, celebrating differences, and advocating for a more inclusive and connected community.

This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week!

Founded by Siena Castellon in 2018, this week aims to challenge stereotypes about neurological differences and celebrate the many strengths of neurodivergent individuals.

Neurodiversity reminds us that every brain works differently. Approximately 15-20% of the population has a neurological difference. This week seeks to transform how organizations support neurodivergent individuals and to create more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate these differences.

At Neuro and MCT, we are proud to support this mission and continue working towards a more inclusive environment where everyone is understood, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Today, we recognize World Teen Mental Wellness Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of mental health and overall emotional well-being for teens and young adults. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 7 teens experience mental health conditions, highlighting the need to offer our love and support.

At Neuro, we are committed to providing compassionate care to every client and family we serve. We want to remind teens to practice self-care, show themselves kindness, and understand that it is okay to not be okay. If you are struggling, reaching out is a sign of strength. If you know a teen, take a moment today to check in. A simple conversation can make a difference.

By continuing to normalize conversations around mental health and reducing stigma, we can create a healthier space for young minds to grow and thrive. For more information, please visit: https://www.nami.org/kids-teens-and-young-adults/
