✨ Big news! ✨
This summer we launched our very first Food as Medicine Program 🥦🥗🍎

Through partnerships with , , and Oregon City Grocery Outlet, 23 of our patients living with diabetes or prediabetes are receiving two fresh, healthy meals each week for 12 weeks.

By pairing nutritious food with compassionate care, we’re helping patients build healthy habits and prevent complications. Because good health starts with good habits... and food is medicine. 💚

Shout out to Lisa for her great work getting this program organized and ready to go!

July was a month of transition and teamwork! We said a heartfelt goodbye goodbye to Zach on his last day as a Patient Navigator (Thanks for all your care and compassion!), and we welcomed Aurora into the role, bringing fresh energy and a familiar face to the team!

The clinic kept busy providing care for our community. Behind the scenes, our team has been putting together our 5th annual 5K for Healthcare and getting ready to launch a new program.

Stay tuned - we can’t wait to share more soon!

May Recap 💫

This month, the clinic received grant funding from not one but TWO amazing high school classes through the SchnitzerCares student grantmaking program. Big thanks to these young changemakers for championing healthcare access! 🙌🎓✨

We also celebrated long-time volunteer Crystal as she wrapped up 4 incredible years of service at the clinic — she’s off to medical school in Toledo and we couldn’t be prouder! 🩺💙

Volunteer Chase and Staff member Alexi repped the clinic at the CCC Health & Wellness Fair, where they made new friends (including Luna the therapy dog, who was a big fan of our Bombas socks 🧦🐶).

45 is the new 50 for colorectal cancer screening!

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and we want to take this opportunity to remind you that the new recommended age to start colorectal cancer screening has been lowered from age 50 to 45.

In Oregon, colorectal cancer is the fourth most common type of cancer diagnosed and the fourth leading cause of cancer death. And although many people don’t want to think about or deal with colorectal cancer screening, it can save your life!

Schedule your screening with your provider. If you don’t have a provider, call 211 for assistance.
