Residents and team members came together for yet another beloved edition of Le Café. ☕✨ Our French-themed espresso hour featured delicious pastries, chai tea, and freshly made, made-to-order flavored lattes and cappuccinos crafted by our very own “French barista team.”

With cozy lounge-style French music playing in the background, everyone sipped, savored, and caught up on the latest happenings. It’s the perfect blend of warmth, conversation, and caffeine — and without a doubt, one of our favorite traditions! 🥐

Still thinking about that first bite… 💚✨

Our residents and team members gathered around for a warm serving of comfort and culture — savory slow-cooked with smoked turkey neck using Pam’s special recipe, paired with rich, warm fresh from the oven. And yes… it truly was as good as it smelled.

Pam didn’t just cook a dish — she shared tradition, history, and heart. As we celebrated , we honored Black cooking traditions, personal recipes, and the beautiful stories that live inside every meal.

There was laughter, second helpings, and so much appreciation around the table. Many of us truly learned why it’s called — because it feeds more than your stomach. It feeds your spirit, your memories, and your connection to one another. 🖤🍽️

As part of our series of events, residents gathered with Resident Pam to cook up a true taste of tradition — featuring smoked turkey neck and warm, golden 💚✨

Pam didn’t just fill our halls with the most delicious aromas — she filled our hearts and minds, too. As the greens simmered, she shared the rich history and cultural roots behind these beloved soul food staples, reminding us how recipes carry stories from generation to generation. Residents and team members even got to sample the flavorful “pot likker,” the savory broth treasured in Southern kitchens for its depth and nourishment.

These snapshots capture the joy of the process — stirring, storytelling, and of course, taste-testing that rich pot likker. The real feast was still to come!

It was such a fun way to connect over memories of home cooking, cultural traditions, and the powerful way food brings people together. What a beautiful (and delicious!) way to celebrate the flavor and culture of soul food during Month.

Residents and team members came together for a powerful conversation on through the lens of fashion, honoring the brilliance, resilience, and legacy of Black designers who have shaped the world’s style narrative.

We reflected on pioneers like Ann Lowe, Willi Smith, Zelda Wynn Valdes, Dapper Dan, Elizabeth Keckly, Patrick Kelly, and Stephen Burrows — visionaries whose creativity and craftsmanship left lasting marks on the industry, even when their names weren’t always given the spotlight they deserved.

We also explored the powerful relationship between Black fashion and the music industry — how culture, sound, and style have always moved together to influence global trends.

Black creatives have long been underrepresented in fashion, yet their impact is vast, foundational, and undeniable. It was an honor to celebrate their artistry, acknowledge their legacy, and appreciate fashion not just as clothing, but as culture, expression, and history in motion. 🖤✨

This week our residents took on the ultimate “Word in a Word” challenge, and wow did they deliver! 🧠✨

Our super-sized word was antidisestablishmentarianism — and it helped us uncover 206 smaller words hidden inside! That’s nearly double what we usually find together. We could’ve kept going, but we officially ran out of whiteboard space! 😂

From short and simple to surprisingly tricky finds, this word kept everyone thinking and collaborating.
