Hometown Pharmacy

Hometown Pharmacy Oregon Pharmacy has been Oregon’s only local, family owned pharmacy since the mid 1800′s. Our pharmacists can also compound most pet medications.

We’ve been known by a variety of different names over the last 100+ years, but we’re still the same pharmacy that served your great, great grandparents and we’ll be serving your great grandchildren someday. Oregon Pharmacy has supported, valued, and contributed to its community since it has been open and in return many wonderful customers have supported and patronized our pharmacy. We are grateful for those customers and we will continue to support the community for many years to come. We pride ourselves on providing you with all of your medication and personal needs. Our highly skilled pharmacists can tailor your medication regimen with the art and science of compounding medicine. This centuries-old technique is used to create specialized medications to better meet the needs of both patients and physicians. Through sophisticated techniques, we can make medications in an alternative form for those patients that can not take them in their original form. In addition, we can provide you with all your Over-The-Counter products from first aid supplies and pain relievers to diabetic supplies and home health items.

Hometown Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy group of 70 pharmacies in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan and employs nearly 700 people. We have been caring for our patients and connecting with our communities since 2003.

Our pharmacies do not simply fill prescriptions. Our pharmacists and staff are committed and passionate about continuing education and patient health. Not only do we educate our patients about their health and wellness options, but we also empower both our employees and patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

Because of this commitment, we take time with our patients to discuss how they feel and educate them about health issues, products, health-related current events, and offer options in their own healthcare.

We believe in functional health and collaborate with some of the best healthcare professionals across the country to better serve our patients' wellness needs. We believe this is the evolution of the practice of medicine and is the future of healthcare.

Oregon Hometown Pharmacy

Hi, I’m Kim. My roots in community pharmacy began long before I ever decided to make it a career choice. When I was young, I spent countless hours alongside my dad at our family-owned pharmacy in Watertown, WI. He gave me easy jobs at first, like filing and stocking shelves; and later he had me running the cash register and counting prescriptions. Throughout that time, I had the pleasure of observing him interact with customers and physicians, answering patients’ questions, and helping people with their medication needs. I was always so proud of the way he treated his customers with kindness and respect. Years later, after earning a business degree at University of Wisconsin-Madison, I decided I also wanted to pursue a career in pharmacy. In 1997, thirty years after my dad became a pharmacist, I earned a doctorate degree from UW-Madison School of Pharmacy. From that point on, I have enjoyed serving the community of Oregon at Hometown Pharmacy. A lot has changed since my early beginnings in pharmacy but practicing in a small community has afforded me the ability to develop personal relationships with patients and assist them with choices in their healthcare…very much in the tradition of my father.
