In honor of March being the month that we begin to grow tired of the winter, but it isn't tired of us yet, I am excited to announce that I will be introducing hot stones! Using Hot stones to improve health has been around for centuries making their way from India all the way to Native American cultures. Hot stones can be placed in particularly tense or sore muscles or moved constantly in more of a Swedish massage style to help them release. The benefits of adding hot stones to your massage range from being EXTRA relaxing all the way to improving digestion. Meaning no matter what you're looking for adding hot stones to your massage is a good idea and a nice treat. For the month of March, as my treat to you, you can add hot stones to any massage for free! After March they will be an additional $15 on top of your massage service. Take advantage of this free add-on while it lasts! To book a massage feel free to message me on Facebook or shoot me a text at 479-879-4079!

Hello everyone! My goal with Ruth's Wellness in Motion is to bring affordable therapy options to people who would otherwise have to travel a long way to receive the rehabilitation therapy they need.

You might be asking yourself why should you get a massage?
Massage therapy comes with many benefits both physical and mental. Massage therapy can help rehabilitate injuries and surgeries by increasing blood flow throughout the body and working the muscles needed to keep everything moving the way it should as well as being a great pain relieving option. Massage can also help mentally by improving mood and energy!
Having said that, I am looking to fill my February schedule up so if you've been waiting for an affordable opportunity to add massage to your self-care routine, here it is!

Thanksgiving has come and gone and as if right on cue many of us have got our first snow of the year that will not be going anywhere until spring! Naturally, that means we are all now thinking of the holiday shopping we need to get done. Whether it is for you or a loved one, a massage is always a great pick-me-up gift or just a great tool to add to our self-care routines.

I would like to introduce myself with a little "about me"!
I got into massage therapy both intentionally and by accident. I remember the first time I had a solid direction for the path I wanted my life to go. I was working in Duchesne for an elderly couple, cleaning their house. The woman had just had a hip replacement and was having to travel hours for physical therapy. I saw firsthand the struggle for her to be trying to recover but having to travel so far to take the proper steps she needed to do so. I started looking into physical therapy, intending to become a physical therapist and travel to the clients needing to do their physical therapy appointments hoping to make it both more affordable and more convenient for people to rehabilitate after surgeries and injuries.
I made the mistake of assuming massage therapy and physical therapy are basically the same schooling process, and started looking into going to school for massage therapy. I went and interviewed at the Cortiva Institute in Orem and found out that massage and physical therapy are not the same program.
This along with the cost and uncertainty of moving to a new city and living on my own set my plans back a few years, but I never totally let go of the passion and desire to help people get healthier and back on their feet after major life-changing incidents. So after doing further research into both physical therapy and massage therapy, I learned the whole scope of what massage is and what it can do for people, and I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on school for massage therapy. So I decided to re-look into schools and ended up attending Healing Mountain Massage School for a year and getting licensed for massage therapy and I could not be happier with my decision.
