There is a story in Norse Mythology of Thor- The God of Thunder... strong, fearless and unbeatable, being challenged to a wrestling match by an old woman named Elli.
Thor just laughs, thinking this will be the easiest match of his life. But within minutes, he is on the ground... defeated.
What Thor did not know, is that Elli wasn't just an old woman, she was the embodiment of age itself. She was the force of time, of life's natural cycle, and no one, not even the strongest can beat time.
This story is more than just a myth, for the wise, it is a reminder that in a world obsessed with youth, strength, speed and dominance, there is deep power in all that we've been taught and programmed to overlook.
Age is not weakness: It is Wisdom. It is Endurance. It is the part of life that no amount of muscle, status or wealth can outlast.
As we move through shifting times, we would all do well to remember this. A new world cannot be built with brute force, manipulation, or by the blind. This birth will be guided by those who've seen the rise and fall of the past and present; those who have grown roots, not just muscle. Those who carry memory, not ego.
Respect age.
Respect the elders.
Cease chasing the illusion of a 'forever youth' and start tuning into the quiet, steady power of those who've lived long enough to see through illusion; to hear through noise; and feel past the artificial.
In the end, even Thor had to kneel to the force he could not overpower... the wisdom of Time.
