Sometimes we need surgery…

As an osteopathic family physician I try to help my clients stretch, strengthen and change biomechanics to avoid surgery. Sometimes however, we gotta do it. 🦴

Over the years I have played countless hours of football, rugby, soccer, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and pingpong. I love sports and they’ve taken a bit of a toll on my joints. I was scheduled for a partial knee replacement a few weeks ago but then I tore my meniscus.

The Surgery went well. Matt Poulson,MD was my surgeon. He did an awesome job. He’s at Elite orthopedics and sports medicine in Orem. Highly recommend!

I’ll be out of action for a bit rehabbing, strengthening and recovering.

I’m so grateful for my supportive clients at Voyage Clinics. I feel their love and concern. ❤️ I’m sure your kindness and support will contribute to my speedy recovery on this surgery.

We are excited to welcome two new Nurse Practitioners to our team! 🎉

Marilyn Sorensen brings over 35 years of experience in family practice and graduated Valedictorian as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Brigham Young University with high honors, also earning a minor in music. She has advanced training and certification in women’s health, bio-identical hormone therapy, thyroid management, PCOS, weight loss, and osteoporosis prevention. Marilyn enjoys playing the piano, skiing, traveling, camping in the mountains, and spending time with her family. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Lisa has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2005, with experience in family practice, neurology, and OB/GYN. She graduated with honors from Brigham Young University’s Nurse Practitioner program and specializes in menopause and women’s health, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, headaches, mental health, and pediatric care. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys renovation projects with her husband Dan, planning gatherings, and spending time at waterparks or in the mountains. She is a proud mom of three kids and a son-in-law.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Marylin and Lisa. They bring a wealth of experience, compassion, and dedication to our patient care. I’m looking for retired (or near retired) family docs, NPs or PAs. (Or even if they are seasoned and burning out.)

A year aged Dr. Clark joined our team. He had retired but still loved caring for people. The complexities and silliness of our current system was just too difficult to deal with. He joined our team part time and loves it! It’s like a medical mission trip where he can just show up and care for people. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.
