Today’s “Plagues of Prosperity”—including type2 diabetes, heart disease, certain cancers, dementia, fatty-liver disease, PCOS and obesity—all have one thing in common… To varying degrees, each is caused or made worse by the inability of the hormone insulin to perform as it should; A condition largely within our control called Insulin Resistance. For over eight years the doctors, trainers, scientists and nutrition experts leading the Insulin IQ movement have coached thousands of people to remarkable health transformations through insulin control. Our pragmatic, outcome-driven coaching programs are anchored in the research being done by one of our cofounders, internationally renowned scientist and pathophysiology professor Dr. Benjamin Bikman. In his book, Why We Get Sick, Dr. Bikman documents both 1) the rise of insulin resistance and its role in so many of today’s plagues of prosperity and 2) how to fight back! With Dr. Bikman’s continuing research as the foundation, Insulin IQ’s coaching programs have been built using the latest in nutrition science, specifically focused on insulin control. Now, you can find the same healing results that thousands of others have benefited from, through our easy-to-understand, affordable and intuitive online coaching programs. Or, if you want in-person accountability, you can find an Insulin IQ Authorized Coaching Facility in your area.

Bad sleep isn’t just making you tired… it’s disrupting your metabolism.

When sleep suffers, your hormones go out of balance—
- Ghrelin (hunger) goes up
- Leptin (fullness) goes down
- Cortisol and insulin get thrown off

The result? More cravings, more hunger, and increased insulin resistance. If your sleep is off, your metabolism probably is too.

Peptides are everywhere right now, but they’re not where you should start.

If your metabolic health isn’t in order (insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, PCOS, etc.), peptides aren’t the solution. Fix the foundation first.

Get your metabolic health checked first. Then decide if peptides make sense.

Alzheimer’s may start with metabolism.

In this week’s discussion, Dr. Ben Bikman and Medical Director Lindsay Venn talk about why Alzheimer’s is often linked to insulin resistance in the brain, sometimes called “Type 3 diabetes.” The good news? There are real strategies that may help protect your brain health, including improving metabolic health and supporting ketone fuel for the brain.

For years we’ve been told salt is the problem. But what if the real culprit behind high blood pressure is insulin from too many processed carbs?

High insulin tells your body to hold onto sodium, which can drive blood pressure up. In many cases, high blood pressure is actually an early sign of insulin resistance.

Sometimes the solution isn’t removing the salt shaker… it’s rethinking the carbs on your plate.

Your BMI might say you’re health, but your metabolism might say otherwise.

The real risk often comes from visceral fat, the fat you can’t pinch.

Dr. Ben Bikman and Lindsay Venn explain why BMI doesn’t tell the whole story.

Start strong. Crash by 2PM. Crave sugar.
That’s unstable glucose, NOT a willpower problem!

Unimate supports clean energy. Balance helps slow glucose so insulin doesn’t hijack your brain.

Have you had your gallbladder removed and you were told to avoid fat?

Dr. Ben Bikman and Lindsay Venn explain why a high-carb, low-fat diet may not be the best answer… especially if insulin resistance is part of the picture.

If you’ve had a cholecystectomy and feel unsure what to eat, we can help.

Tammy, one of our members, recently shared something powerful about her health journey.

Instead of chasing weight loss with Ozempic, Tammy learned how to support her body naturally through a “natural GLP-1” approach, better food choices, and simple tools like yerba mate and allulose. (Suggestions from )

Now she’s nearly at her goal…and more importantly, she knows how to keep it off for life.

Insulin IQ isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about understanding your metabolism and finally feeling better in your own body.

In this week’s conversation, and Lindsay Venn, Medical Director at Insulin IQ, unpack why heart disease risk is about the full metabolic picture… not just one number on your lab report.

Before you panic over a lab result (or jump straight to a statin) make sure you’re looking at the root cause: metabolic health.
