Insulin IQ

Insulin IQ Insulin IQ™ provides nutrition and lifestyle coaching for insulin control and better health through science-based education and outcome-driven coaching.

Today’s “Plagues of Prosperity”—including type2 diabetes, heart disease, certain cancers, dementia, fatty-liver disease, PCOS and obesity—all have one thing in common… To varying degrees, each is caused or made worse by the inability of the hormone insulin to perform as it should; A condition largely within our control called Insulin Resistance. For over eight years the doctors, trainers, scientists and nutrition experts leading the Insulin IQ movement have coached thousands of people to remarkable health transformations through insulin control. Our pragmatic, outcome-driven coaching programs are anchored in the research being done by one of our cofounders, internationally renowned scientist and pathophysiology professor Dr. Benjamin Bikman. In his book, Why We Get Sick, Dr. Bikman documents both 1) the rise of insulin resistance and its role in so many of today’s plagues of prosperity and 2) how to fight back! With Dr. Bikman’s continuing research as the foundation, Insulin IQ’s coaching programs have been built using the latest in nutrition science, specifically focused on insulin control. Now, you can find the same healing results that thousands of others have benefited from, through our easy-to-understand, affordable and intuitive online coaching programs. Or, if you want in-person accountability, you can find an Insulin IQ Authorized Coaching Facility in your area.

Millions of women are prescribed statins to lower cholesterol… but here’s the truth: cholesterol isn’t the strongest predictor of heart disease in women.

The real driver is insulin resistance, the root of diabetes, high blood pressure, and belly fat. And the twist? Statins may actually make insulin resistance worse, raising the risk of type 2 diabetes.

If you want to protect your heart, don’t just focus on lowering cholesterol, focus on improving your metabolic health.

Can you really build muscle on a ketogenic diet? The answer might surprise you.

In our latest Metabolic Classroom, Dr. Ben Bikman breaks down the science of how ketones and amino acids protect your muscles, even with lower insulin levels. From preserving muscle during fat loss to powering performance without carb-loading, keto might be your secret weapon for strength and longevity.

In this lecture, Ben explains how ketones like BHB fuel muscle cells, reduce breakdown, and activate key growth pathways… plus why protein, resistance training, and metabolic adaptation make all the difference.

Dear Insulin IQ Community,

We are at a critical moment for the future of health policy in America. The MAHA Commission—the group tasked with creating a national strategy on chronic disease—is preparing to release its final report in just a few weeks.

Shockingly, the draft contains no mention of low-carb nutrition. Despite decades of science and millions of lives improved, this life-saving approach is once again being ignored.

This is where you come in.

We need thousands of voices demanding that the administration recognize low-carb/keto as a powerful, evidence-based tool in the fight against obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease. If they don’t hear from us now, our silence will be taken as consent.

Here’s what to do right now:

1. If you are a U.S. resident, take two minutes to send your message to the administration by signing this petition: https://lowcarbmaha.org/

2. Share this message with your friends, family, and colleagues who care about health and freedom of choice.

We number in the millions, but unless we speak up together, we will remain unheard. Let’s make sure low-carb is included in the final MAHA strategy.

Your voice matters. Please act today.

With gratitude,

-- Ben

If you’ve ever wondered why some people gain fat even when they don’t eat more, the answer isn’t laziness or willpower, it’s hormones. Insulin, leptin, and brain signals can all push the body toward fat storage.

In my latest Metabolic Classroom, I explain how this works, and why looking at hormones, not just calories, can completely change how we think about weight gain.
