To all my patients at Rife and Associates Family Medicine:
I wanted to update you on the status of my practice. As many of you know, my practice has been sold to Silver Cross Hospital- this location is now known as Silver Cross Mefical Group Orland Park. As such I am now an employee of Silver Cross Hospital and no longer in private practice. I determined, after many years in private practice, that it was time to leave the administrative side of a medical practice to someone else, and just focus on being your doctor. I am no longer responsible for making the decisions on how the practice is run, other than where it relates to taking care of my patients medically.
With the sale to Silver Cross, comes some changes in how the practice operates. If you have questions or comments on practice operations, please direct them to our very capable staff, as I am no longer involved in making decisions on how the practice is run.
Some changes you may or may not be aware of that happened with the sale of my practice:
Lindsay Gnade has decide to take some time off from medicine to spend more time with her children and husband. Mayra Garibay has decided to return to practice medicine in her native California. I certainly wish them both well. I am fortunate to continue to be working with Cory Cunningham and Chelsea Breed, both excellent PA’s. Silver Cross has also hired Marie Shabani who you will find is a highly competent Nurse Practitioner.
The question I am most often asked now, is “are you retiring”? I can tell you that I have a commitment to work for Silver Cross until the end of 2025. After that, well, we’ll see. As much as I love my patients, I do plan on retiring someday 😀 to focus on my family and hobbies.
