No one has to go through grief alone. We're now offering adolescent Grief and Loss groups for ages 11 to 14. This group opens a space to let individuals express their emotions and learn how to heal and cope with loss in a supportive group setting of their peers. Groups will take place for 6 weeks on Tuesday evenings, start dates are TBD as participants are confirmed for enrollment.

Gratitude is mindfulness in action. Take a moment to name three things, big or small, that you’re grateful for right now! Notice how it shifts your perspective? Any time you see repeating numbers throughout your day, whether it be a clock, a telephone number, or license plate, etc., consider that your visual reminder to check in with yourself about one thing you are grateful for in that moment. Happy Feel Good Friday! Acts of kindness boost your own happiness just as much as the receiver’s. Research shows that when you do something kind for someone else—like holding the door, sending a supportive text, or buying coffee for a friend—your brain releases serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin. These “feel-good” chemicals improve your mood, lower stress, and even strengthen social bonds. In other words, being kind is like giving your brain a little happiness workout. 🙂
