Eight Alden representatives, including our President Randi Schlossberg-Schullo, attended the first-ever Women’s Luncheon hosted by the Democratic Party of Illinois.

Special guests included Illinois Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton and Wisconsin Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez, who shared their inspiring journeys into public service and insights on women in leadership.

We were proud to strengthen connections with elected leaders, including Party Chair Lisa Hernandez, a long-time Alden Champion whose district includes two Alden communities.

Meaningful conversations around healthcare, leadership, and policy made this a powerful and productive event!

Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our incredible CNAs during CNA Week! 💙

To show our appreciation, we treated our hardworking team to relaxing massages, a delicious taco bar, and lots of sweet treats that brought smiles all around.

Thank you to our amazing CNAs for the compassion, dedication, and heart you bring every single day. We are so lucky to have you!

Alden Network leaders had a fantastic time attending the 9th Annual Forum on Post-Acute, Long-Term Care, and Assisted Living!

Our nurses and administrators enjoyed gaining valuable insights from incredible speakers like Bette Lawrence-Water, who spoke on civility in the workplace, and Lorena Amarillo, who shared important strategies around emergency preparedness. These sessions were not only informative — they were empowering.

In addition to earning CEUs, our team loved connecting with fellow professionals and exploring innovative solutions from the many vendors in attendance. Events like this help us grow, learn, and continue to deliver the highest standard of care across all Alden facilities.

The Alden Avengers were out in full force this past weekend at the 31st Annual Gibbons 5K Run & 3K Walk, proudly representing the Davidson-Brin Chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation!

It was a beautiful day to come together, raise awareness, and support the fight against blood cancers. Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, donated, and cheered us on — your support means the world as we work toward a cure!

We ended an incredible Skilled Nursing Care Week celebration with a festive jersey day and game-day food, including pizza and nachos!
It was a blast celebrating all the amazing people who make up Alden Estates of Orland Park with delicious food, fun themes, and memorable moments created together as a community!

It was a spectacular evening recognizing women like Emily and Stephanie who are making a real impact in skilled nursing, senior living, and home care at the community, facility, and corporate level!

Skilled Nursing Care Week Spotlight 🌟

This week, we honor the incredible individuals who make up the heart of our community — like June Marie Kinney, who has been a cherished part of the Alden Estates of Orland Park team since 2014.

As a hostess, June brings warmth and care to every resident she serves — treating them like her own parents or grandparents. Her genuine joy comes from putting smiles on their faces and creating moments of connection every day.

June's journey is deeply personal. She cared for her father, who lived with Parkinson’s disease, using skills she learned while working alongside CNAs here at Alden. She shares that the experience reminded her how precious life is and taught her to treasure every moment.

After experiencing a personal loss four years ago, June returned to Alden — and found healing through the smiles and spirit of the residents she serves.

“The best thing I did was come back. The residents gave me hope.”

We’re so grateful for June’s heart, dedication, and the light she brings to our community.

We wrapped up the month in style with a Groovy '70s Disco Party to celebrate our April birthdays! With a DJ spinning the hits, our residents hit the dance floor and boogied the day away. It was a day full of laughter, celebration, and unforgettable memories! 🕺✨🎉

The Alden team had an incredible presence at this year’s 63rd Annual WHCA/WiCAL Spring Conference and Expo in Green Bay!

Not only did everyone look amazing in their Alden gear, but the camaraderie amongst everyone was spectacular. Our team got the chance to network with fellow long-term care professionals and attend educational sessions ranging in topics from Improving Post-Acute Transitional Care Management to Leadership Insights and Virtual Reality Dementia training. From a sizzling and soulful Hibachi dinner to going home with cash prizes, it’s safe to say the Alden team had an amazing time from start to finish!

Yesterday, we hosted our first annual Ride for Research event with CYCLEBAR, benefitting the Davidson-Brin chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation! Not only did the Alden team enjoy an invigorating 45-minute classic ride, but we were able to raise $1,450 for Leukemia research!

Thank you to our wonderful Alden family for all the donations, support, and participation. You truly made this event memorable! We'd also like to thank the CycleBar team, and our instructor, Danielle, for a fun ride!

Nothing beats breaking a sweat and pedaling for a purpose. Until next year! 🚴‍♀️

Another year of spreading holiday cheer with our annual Turkey Drive – officially in the books!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this year's Turkey Drive supporting children and families of El Hogar Del Nino a success!

This is our fourth year working side-by-side to ensure families enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkeys and grocery bags filled with essential food items. We had an incredible day, and partnering with a fantastic team is always a pleasure.

From the support of local leaders like Alderman Byron Sigcho Lopez 25th Ward Office to the fun we had working together and the smiles we saw on the faces of families, this event truly embodied the spirit of giving and community.

Here's to many more years of partnership and making a difference.
