In honor of National Nutrition Month Central Florida Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics-CFAND donated $2,000 to our philanthropy, the Volusia Giving Gardens- a student led community garden initiative started by CFAND Membership Director Emily Davis Moore and her daughters. The donation was possible due to the funds we raised at our 1st Annual Run for Wellness: Fuel Your Health 5k. Here's the check presentation. This year's NNM theme is and another way we can strengthen this is by supporting legislation that helps bring good nutrition and nutrition education to others. If you couldn't make it to this past Sunday's Offering of Letters supporting global nutrition and WIC funding, there will be another opportunity coming up in April, so stay tuned. But you can also always write/email/call your legislators any time!
