Been battling with this decision for months because I genuinely love doing encapsulations and keepsakes. But family responsibilities are requiring more of my time, limiting my ability to travel and process placentas.

I am no longer taking doula clients this year. Those who have already booked me as their birth doula will be my last clients for a while. I will still be providing placenta encapsulation and babywearing services. It has not been an easy decision to step back from doula work, but it is what is going to be best for my family currently.

I wholeheartedly have loved serving so many families and have hopefully been a positive part of their birth experience. It has been an honor to be welcomed into such a sacred space.

Born 1/20/24. Mom worked hard with a long early labor & Dad was amazing at supporting mom. They were educated & advocated for the birth they planned. They definitely took time to work through their options when making a decision and it definitely made this doula so proud. It was such an honor to be there to support this family.

Born 6/20/23 I cannot believe Baby Annalene is a month old today. Time has gotten away from me with all the encapsulations and babywearing consults I’ve been working on.

This family was such a joy to work with and we learned to work well rather quickly. Labor was somewhat start and stop but this momma was able to get labor going using a pump to avoid any medical induction/augmentation methods.

It was beautiful to watch this momma give into her surges while listening to her tracks. She definitely worked long and hard to bring baby girl earthside but she shared that it was still a wonderful and empowering experience.

When the umbilical cord is long and the family has more options for me to create a keepsake they’ll love. This keepsake wouldn’t even fit my traditional packaging.

Most families stick with the traditional heart umbilical cord keepsake that I offer. Now I offer the ability to do umbilical cord keepsakes on their own, no need to also do placenta encapsulation. Contact me to learn more.

[Español]⬇ The arrival of Baby Boy H was extra special because it was also my oldest son’s 5th birthday. Plus Baby H was born on 5/7/23 at 5:07am.

Mom was so full of peace and joy throughout her quick labor. At one point she cried tears of happiness and excitement as she listened to her affirmations and continued to tell her husband how much she loved him. The oxytocin was definitely allowed to freely flow as she gave in to each surge.

Congratulations to the H family!

La llegada de Baby Boy H fue muy especial porque también era el cumpleaños número 5 de mi hijo mayor. Más Baby H nació el 5/7/23 a las 5:07 am.

Mamá estaba tan llena de paz y alegría durante su parto que ocurrió rápido. En un momento lloró lágrimas de felicidad y emoción mientras escuchaba sus afirmaciones y continuaba diciéndole a su esposo cuánto lo amaba. Definitivamente mamá permitió que la oxitocina fluyera libremente mientras cada contracción.

I just love how different each natural cord keepsake turns out. All the different shades. Some are lighter or darker all too.

Keepsakes and encapsulation are services I always provide. I can still do a cord keepsake if you have it frozen along with your placenta, so let’s talk if you’re interested.

[English]⬇ ¡Mira qué hermosa es esta impresión de placenta! Ni siquiera pude esperar a que se secara antes de tomar una foto.

Esta placenta tenía una inserción de cordón marginal. Aparte de la inserción del cordón, el resto era normal. Pero cuando lo coloqué en la tabla donde trabajo con las placentas, me inspiró a darle una forma de corazón leve.

Cada placenta es única y trato a cada una con el mucho respeto. Realmente disfruto cuando tengo la oportunidad de crear algunos recuerdos y también arte. Recuerda que todos mis servicios de placenta (encapsulación, impresiones, recuerdo de cordón umbilical) siempre están disponibles.

Look at how beautiful this placenta print is! I couldn’t even wait for it to dry before snapping a quick photo.

This placenta had a marginal or battledore cord insertion. Aside from its cord insertion the rest of it was normal. But when I placed it on the chuck pad it inspired me to give it a slight heart shape.

Every placenta is so unique and I treat each one with the upmost respect. I truly enjoy when I get the opportunity to create some keepsakes and art as well. Remember that all my placenta services (encapsulation, prints, umbilical cord keepsakes) are always available.

So excited to be helping at later this month in Boston! While I’ve done a number of various baby & family shows over the years, this is the first time traveling for one out of the state.
