She’s hiked 🥾over 40,000 miles 🥇❗️
Meeting this courageous woman and hearing her story was one of my highlights besides the honor of being a guest speaker at the She Can Adventure Women’s Summit.
Heather “Anish” Anderson set a record of the fastest time on the Pacific Crest Trail (Mexico to Canada 😳) AND the Appalachian Trail (Georgia to Maine 😯), both solo thru hikes.
She blazed the two trails and the Continental Divide Trail - each one TWICE❗️
Her latest book is “Mud, Rocks, Blazes” and I’m really looking forward to reading it. Not only does it chronicle her hiking adventures, she shares her journey home to herself 💛
She set out to find, accept and become friends with her true self on those hikes. That’s a journey many of us take, it just looks different.
My journey wasn’t so much about traversing the miles and miles of terrain. Although I like to hike, I also like a shower, bathroom and comfy bed.
My journey of self discovery and self acceptance and self appreciation and eventually self love happened in a yoga studio…me on my mat, breathing, noticing sensation little by little, and eventually finding wholeness within myself ❤️
Have you taken that journey into living aligned with self acceptance and authenticity? It’s worth the journey ⭐️
If you’ve been on the journey to coming home to yourself, what did your process look like?
