Depression in men doesn’t always look like sadness.
Sometimes it looks like anger.
Like shutting people out.
Like working nonstop, taking risks, numbing out, or pretending everything is fine.
Many men are taught to stay silent about emotional pain, which can make depression harder to recognize — even by the person experiencing it.
If you’ve lost interest in things you once loved, feel constantly exhausted, struggle to focus, or feel disconnected from everyone around you, you are not weak and you are not alone.
Depression is real. It is treatable. And asking for help is a sign of strength, not failure.
If you or someone you know is struggling, talk to someone you trust or contact a mental health professional.
