Such a fun and inspiring day at Orange Appeal’s Beauty Body Spirit 2026 💕

I had the honor of being part of the Body Power Panel, talking all things longevity, prevention, and what it really takes to live a healthier, happier life.

We covered everything from small daily habits to the bigger picture of how to truly take care of your body and feel your best long term. My biggest takeaway? You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight. Consistency with solid habits goes a long way.

Also loved connecting with so many amazing women, speakers, and local businesses. Events like this remind me how powerful community is when it comes to health. Also got to see my girls and !

Such an honor to be a presenter at the Florida Academy of Family Physicians 2026 Spring conference this year.

One of the best parts was getting to do it alongside so many of my former colleagues and preceptors. Truly such a fun, full-circle experience.

I had the opportunity to speak about shared medical appointments, a model where patients with similar conditions are seen together in a group setting. It allows for more time for education, lifestyle change, and community support, while still addressing individual medical needs. It is one of my favorite ways to practice medicine because you can actually see behavior change happening in real time.

in this video, is the one who interviewed me for residency back in 2014. He must have liked me okay because he got me into the program. 👍

Harvest to Table at 4Roots Farm might be one of my favorite ways to bring lifestyle medicine to life.

There’s something different about learning, cooking, and sharing a meal in a space where the food is literally grown around you. It makes everything feel more real… and more doable.

Our menu was simple, colorful, and packed with nutrients:
• Microgreens with mandarin, apple, and pomegranate
• Mushroom ragout with shiitake + cremini mushrooms, veggies, and rich tomato flavor
• Creamy polenta (cozy, comforting, and surprisingly nutritious)
• Apple crumble with oats and warm spices to finish

Every dish was a reminder that healthy food doesn’t have to be complicated or boring. It can be flavorful, satisfying, and something you actually want to make again.

Huge thank you to Chef Edwin for bringing this menu to life and making it fun and approachable, and to Megan () for capturing so many great moments from the night.

If you’ve never experienced a teaching kitchen like this… add it to your list.

Just got back from an incredible week at Harvard for the Lifestyle Medicine and Wellness Coaching Immersion led by Dr. Beth Frates, alongside an amazing lineup of speakers across nutrition, mental health, sleep, resilience, and longevity. The biggest takeaway? The fundamentals of health really are the most powerful: how we move, eat, sleep, manage stress, and connect with others. But what stood out even more was how we actually help people change. It comes down to meeting patients where they are, creating psychological safety, and making changes feel meaningful and sustainable. I loved the emphasis on reframing exercise as “training,” the continued push for plant-forward nutrition, the impact of social connection on longevity, and simple but powerful tools for stress and sleep. Leaving with a lot of practical ideas to continue building lifestyle medicine in primary care and making it more actionable and impactful for patients.
