🇺🇸 GLP-1 meds can absolutely help with weight loss. That part is clear.
What gets complicated is long-term success. Will they help you maintain weight loss 2, 5, or 10 years from now? The honest answer is that we do not know yet.

What we do know is that studies show about 67% of people who stop GLP-1 medications regain weight after two years. That number is a little too high for my liking!

GLP-1 RAs, like bariatric surgery, are a powerful tool. But these tools only work when they are paired with sustainable habits, on-going support, and lifestyle changes that you can actually stick to.

In the OR, a sloppy staple line is the last thing you want.
Do your homework! Choose your surgeon wisely.

🇺🇸 Here’s a tip for anyone preparing for surgery: your post-op supplements aren’t something to leave to the last minute.

Grocery shopping? That can wait. Picking out your post-op comfy clothes? That can wait, too. But having your supplements ready is critical.

Planning ahead ensures you stay on track with your nutrition, recover safely, and avoid unnecessary stress after surgery. Know what you need, have it ready, and set yourself up for success!

🇪🇸 Aquí hay un consejo para cualquiera que se esté preparando para una cirugía: los suplementos posoperatorios no son algo que se pueda dejar para el último momento.

¿Ir a comprar comida? Eso puede esperar. ¿Elegir ropa cómoda para después de la operación? Eso también puede esperar. Pero tener los suplementos listos es fundamental.
