Life got heavy last year.
Between family responsibilities and caring for my dad, I let go of something that used to fill me up: paddleboarding.

Today, I finally got back on the water โ€” and wowโ€ฆ it was as if my whole body exhaled. ๐Ÿ’™

This isnโ€™t just a hobby. Paddleboarding is how I reconnect with myself.
The air, the water, the movementโ€ฆ itโ€™s therapy.

Self-care isnโ€™t optional. Itโ€™s VITAL.
Because when youโ€™re always pouring into others โ€” you have to find a way to refill.

Whatโ€™s one thing that helps you feel like you again?

I wonโ€™t lie โ€” 2025 tested me in ways I didnโ€™t see coming.

Walking alongside my dad through a terminal cancer diagnosis.
A stress fracture in my foot that slowed my body down.
More stress, anxiety, and overwhelm than I care to count.

And stillโ€ฆ this year held light. ๐Ÿ’ซ
Moments Iโ€™ll forever cherish โ€” especially the time Iโ€™ve had with my dad.
A deeper appreciation for presence.
And so much GRATITUDE for this community who have reached out and the support Iโ€™ve felt here.

I stepped back from social media to get quiet and reflect on how I want to move into 2026.

Iโ€™ve been tired. Running on empty.

Not caring for myself the way I normally do โ€” and honestly, that makes sense given where my energy has needed to go.

Now Iโ€™m choosing to be more intentional about my own well-being.
Because I know this truth deep in my bones: if I donโ€™t take care of myself, I canโ€™t fully show up for the people I love.

I know the road ahead will get harder as my dadโ€™s health declines.
But Iโ€™m reminding myself that I am strong, resilient, and capable of adapting โ€” even when itโ€™s uncomfortable.

Hereโ€™s to honoring what was, caring for what is, and moving forward with compassion โ€” for others and for myself.

His health continues to decline and reality has hit that this will mostly likely be our last Thanksgiving together. ๐Ÿ˜ข And Iโ€™m holding it with both hands.
