Partner yoga with Shri Dharma Mittra — “The Rock of Yoga.”

Today’s masterclass was truly special. I feel deeply honored each time he chooses me to demonstrate postures and practice by his side.

While practicing this new heart-opening technique, I reflected on how profound this moment really was. Guruji has literally uplifted and supported me on my journey of self-realization, sharing with endless love, compassion, and generosity the wisdom he has cultivated through more than half a century of practice.

Myself, and thousands of sadhakas, stand on the shoulders of this great personality. Thank you Shri Dharma the Dharma Yoga Center for this incredible experience during my 500-hour Life of a Yogi Teacher Training.

Birthday Harinam Sankirtan in Washington Square Park

It’s always a blessing to take shelter of the devotees and engage in this most supreme service of Yuga dharma Harinam Sankirtan.

Sharing the holy names in the streets brings me such joy, observing passerby’s reactions, and offering a loving smile.

Did you know we meet for Sankirtan EVERY DAY here in NYC from 4-7pm? DM for information on location and more!

Sangha is everything—the company we keep shapes who we become. It is essential to surrounded yourself with likeminded yogis. Through positive association, kindness, and generosity we remind each other of what’s possible. ✨

Celebrating my dear friend Ekaterina — a radiant soul whose encouragement and example inspired me to step fully into the Dharma Yoga teacher training.

Practice with her at Fridays 10:30-11:30 Wheel & 12:00-1:30 Dharma III

Forever grateful for my Dharma Yoga sangha and for the friendships that keep giving. 💛🕉️

“The yogi stands supreme in any condition.”
–Shri Dharma Mittra

🧠 One of the most potent teachings I have absorbed from spending time with Shri Dharma: regardless of circumstance, the yogi remains rooted in steady practice and devotion, longing for liberation, and radiating compassion.

📖 Shri Krishna explains this in Bhagavad Gītā (6.46–47): “The yogi is greater than ascetics, greater than those who cultivate knowledge, and greater than those engaged in ritual. Therefore, Arjuna, become a yogi. And of all yogis, the one who abides in Me with faith and love, absorbed in the Self, is the highest of all.”

🙏🏼 So, my dear friends—do your best to become a true yogi: love and serve the Lord, be kind to one another, and stand tall.

“Through practice and detachment, O Arjuna, control of the mind can be attained.” (Bhagavad Gita 6.35)

True progress in yoga comes from making your practice (sādhana) your refuge and releasing attachment to outcomes. Consistent effort (abhyāsa) builds discipline and focus, while detachment (vairāgya) frees the mind from distractions and desires. Together, they cultivate inner peace and self-realization. Practice not for results, but for the journey itself—this is the essence of yoga.
