2. Chin filler – softens shadows and helps light hit the face better, giving a more balanced and feminine lower face.

Post–hair transplant dysesthesia isn’t a complication — it’s part of how the scalp heals on a nerve level.

During a transplant, tiny sensory nerves in the scalp are inevitably disrupted. As they regenerate, they don’t always “turn back on” smoothly. Instead, they can fire irregularly, which is why patients describe sensations like tingling, burning, itching, or even that “crawling” feeling.

On a cellular level, these regenerating nerves become temporarily more sensitive and release signaling molecules (like substance P and CGRP) that amplify sensation. Think of it as the nerves being a little overexcited while they’re reconnecting.

The key point: this is a normal, self-limited phase of nerve healing. As the nerve pathways reorganize and stabilize, these sensations gradually fade over weeks to months.

Hair growth is visible healing — dysesthesia is the invisible part happening underneath.

If your skin is oily going into CO2
 you’re literally blocking your own results.

Before we fire that laser, we degrease + double cleanse for a reason:

Oil, SPF, and buildup create a barrier that scatters the laser energy, so instead of penetrating evenly into the skin (where we WANT that collagen stimulation), it gets disrupted at the surface.

Translation:
✹ Less precise energy delivery
✹ Less effective collagen remodeling
✹ More inconsistent results

Clean skin = clean energy delivery = better results.
