Many clients express to me a longing for happiness. The challenge with feeling happy can be sabotaged by our (and society’s) moving target of what makes us happy. This ever changing target leads us to comparison and looking for things in our lives that do not bring us happiness. That key shift in perspective brings about anxious and depressive symptoms which perpetuate the feelings of unhappiness.

If we can shift our perspective and focus on finding the small joys in our current lives then we can experience more moments of happiness. Establishing a daily gratitude practice will foster more contentment and joy in our lives.
