Kindness is free 💔

Our hearts go out to the Taylor family and Shively Animal Clinic & Hospital PSC, as they mourn the loss of 21 year old, Veterinary Technician, Trent Taylor.

On Sunday evening, Taylor was fatally shot by a client. Details are still being released, but from what has been reported, it appeared to be over a billing dispute. It is reported that Taylor was protecting his mother and his 16 year old brother, who both were also employed at the clinic, along with other staff members who were being assaulted.

The veterinary profession is in pain. Although we sincerely want what is best for your pets, and will make every effort, there are some things that we simply cannot do.
Being kind costs nothing, but being insensitive and cruel claims lives.

To the staff and clients at Shively Animal Clinic we stand with you and you are in our hearts. ❤

ATTENTION ⛔️⛔️⛔️
Nala, a 1 year old red Rhodesian Ridgeback with a large splint/bandage on her right front leg, got away from her owner yesterday afternoon in our parking lot. Nala is a sweet dog but extremely fearful. She has escaped from her owner before at a different location. During that escape, she broke her leg and had to be caught in a humane trap. For this reason, please don't chase her if you see her. Instead, call her owner directly with the location.
We are all devestated for Nala and her owner. Our staff were out looking for hours last night without any luck 😔
Please help bring Nala home safely! 🙏🏻
