We are so honored to introduce Dandelion Hill, our new Executive Director, a visionary, a peer, and a force for collective liberation.
They have spent over a decade doing community care work, witnessing firsthand both the profound ways peer-led care can save lives and the ways systems are built to oppress us, especially those of us at the intersections of being Racialized, Q***r, and Trans.
Their path to this work wasn't linear. It was shaped by witnessing, by founding Orlando United Counseling after the Pulse tragedy, by co-founding Peer Support Space alongside Yasmin, and by the irreplaceable Eva, whose legacy of liberation lives on in Eva's Casita.
They step into this role with emotional justice and tremendous compassion at their core, and a resolute commitment to stewarding us toward a thriving future. Dandelion's vision is clear: to use Eva's Casita as a blueprint for expanding peer respite care across Florida, building more spaces where dignity, humanity, and community are centered above all else.
We are humbled to have someone so rooted in our history, our values, and our shared dream leading the way. They aren't just stepping into a role, they are continuing a legacy they helped build from the very beginning. The work ahead is something we're stepping into together.
Welcome Dandelion Hill in the comments. 🌱
