Lacrifill or Punctal Plugs?
Both are popular and effective options for dry eye relief — but they work in different ways.

Punctal plugs are small devices placed in the tear drainage ducts to help keep your natural tears on the surface of the eye longer. They’re a great option for patients who produce tears but lose them too quickly.

Lacrifill, on the other hand, uses a hyaluronic acid–based gel that fills the tear drainage system temporarily. This provides a more natural, customizable approach and gradually dissolves over time, making it an excellent option for patients looking for flexible, non-permanent relief.

So which do I prefer?
It depends entirely on the patient. Dry eye isn’t one-size-fits-all, and choosing the right treatment means understanding your symptoms, tear quality, and lifestyle.

Are you struggling to see up close? Your depth of focus may be changing, and it might be time to consider Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE).

Rest assured, we don’t even use the air puff test in our office 😉

Celebrating 70 Years!

We surprised, we ate, we sang, we drank, we laughed, we played, we reminisced and most of all we celebrated the most important woman in our lives! It was the most perfect reason for a reunion of family and friends!

Mom - we wouldn’t be the men we are today without you! We love you sooo much! ❤️

Music is a big part of my day and my patients’ experience.

If a little extra noise brings comfort, calm, and familiarity, it’s always worth it.

If you’ve ever said any of these words, you might be a candidate (vision correction edition).

What is Uveitis? 👁️

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about uveitis, so let’s break it down.

Uveitis is inflammation inside the eye, often affecting the uvea (the colored part of the eye), but it can involve other internal eye structures as well. It can be caused by autoimmune conditions, infections, or inflammatory diseases and a lot of the time, the cause is unknown.
