Is time to adjust your expectations. Life as you know it has changed. For the past year, my husband and I had been working in launching our home inspection business. This was an investment of time studying and money to purchase equipment. This dream came crumbling down when we found out that being an inspector was a non essential job during these quarantine days. We had our launch date set and we were ready. Everything came to a bumpy halt. It was heart breaking and disappointing. We had to think fast to survive and put in action our plan B. My husband had no choice but to return to truck driving. In the midst of millions who have lots their jobs, we were thankful that somehow God had mercy on us and a driving opportunity became available immediately. Truck driving is an essential job. April has been a month of grieving for us. We quickly had to learn to adjust our expectations. We evaluated what was important for our family during this moment. We considered all our realistic options that we had at hand. We learned to quiet our fears and found comfort in God. We are embracing life one day at a time, because thinking about the future is overwhelming right now. We find comfort that better days are ahead, because we will do whatever it takes to survive life right now. We will dream again when the time comes. We don't have to rush to that place. Each day that we live, we will embrace what it brings by adjusting our expectations. How about you? How are you adjusting your expectations?
