It may be cold outside, but you deserve warmth—inside and out.

A few simple ways to warm your nervous system this weekend/season:

✨ Wrap yourself in something soft
✨ Sip a warm drink slowly and mindfully
✨ Take a few deep breaths, letting your shoulders drop
✨ Check in with your emotions without judgment

Remember, self-care is regulating, healing, and necessary. 💜

A new year doesn’t have to mean pressure or perfection.
Instead of resolutions, try setting intentions.

Ask yourself:
• How do I want to feel this year?
• What do I need to protect my peace?
• What relationships deserve more care — including my own?

Small, mindful intentions can lead to meaningful change.
At Heart Bonds Counseling, we’re here to support you every step of the way. 💛

What’s one intention you’re setting for yourself this year?

As the year comes to a close, many people feel pressure to finish strong, stay positive, and push through. For some, this can lead to exhaustion instead of motivation.

If you’re feeling mentally drained, emotionally short, or simply “tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix,” you’re not alone. End-of-year burnout is real.

Here are a few gentle reminders as you move toward the new year:

• Rest is a necessity. You don’t have to "earn it".
• You don’t need to reflect perfectly — growth isn’t measured by productivity or checklists.
• It’s okay to slow down — even when the world feels like it’s rushing.
• Support matters — talking things through can bring clarity, relief, and perspective.
• You don’t have to start over on January 1 — healing and progress don’t follow a calendar.

If you’re ending the year feeling depleted, allow yourself compassion instead of criticism. Always remember, Heart Bonds Counseling is here to support you—through burnout, stress, and every season in between.

The holidays don’t have to look a certain way to be meaningful. Perfect plans and picture-ready moments can add pressure and take us away from what truly matters.

This season, consider giving yourself permission to:
❄️ Redefine traditions in ways that feel right for you
❄️ Simplify plans and say no when needed
❄️ Focus on connection over appearances
❄️ Be present, even if everything isn’t perfect

Remember, presence matters more than perfection.

Feeling anxious about holiday parties? You’re not alone.
Here are a few simple ways to protect your peace while still enjoying the season:

❤️ Arrive with a small plan. Give yourself a simple goal so the night feels more predictable and less overwhelming.

❤️ Take breathing breaks. A few slow, intentional breaths can help your mind and body settle when things feel overstimulating.

❤️ Stay connected to someone you trust. Whether it’s a friend, partner, or someone you can text, having an anchor can make a big difference.

❤️ Hold something grounding. A warm drink, a familiar bracelet, or even your phone (mindfully!) can help you feel steady in the moment.

❤️ Give yourself permission to step away. Breaks are allowed. Leaving early is allowed. Your well-being comes first.

Our Story

A heart bond is an official masonry term referring to a way bricks can be lain. Human hearts are drawn together in many different ways, however. Our bonds are constantly ebbing and flowing, less like bricks and more like the seasons and rhythms of nature.

At Heart Bonds Counseling, our therapists include Stacey Greenberg, LCSW, Jackie Braun, LCSW, Jennifer Garcia, MFT, RMFTI, and Susan Warren, MSW, RCSWI. Our goal is to help you navigate your bonds in the past, present, and future, for a healthier heart and relationships with loved ones and life. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and we look forward to walking alongside you.

Stacey is a warm and compassionate counselor. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida and has a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Central Florida. She has 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. Stacey’s focus is on helping and empowering the vulnerable — particularly young people, older adults, and individuals/families touched by challenging or unique family situations. She is passionate about helping people discover and recapture a sense of worth, and to fully experience life with a positive identity and interdependence. Stacey specializes in clinical issues relating to adoption and foster care, adolescents, depression and anxiety, spiritual issues, family and couples issues, women’s issues, and adjustment to family changes. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy modalities, as well as other theoretical practices. Stacey has received formal training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention and Gottman Couples Counseling to assist in helping families build and strengthen relationships. Stacey has provided therapy for a variety of individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and groups. When she is not in session, Stacey enjoys cooking (and eating!) exotic dishes, exercise, time with friends and family, travel, and learning more every day.
