To provide social services to individuals, families and community agencies to direct them in the quest of becoming healthy and productive individuals.
Decide, Inc. is a non- profit organization with a 501c3 that started providing services to families and individuals in Central Florida since 2002. Our programs include Casa Betesda, a residential program for men that are 18 years and older with problems of substance abuse. At this time we have served more than 450 men.
In 2014 we expand our services to over 100 families per week to our Central Florida residents utilizing a three-pronged approach which (1) provides first for the individual’s immediate and basic need of food, clothing and shelter; (2) stabilizes the individual by helping them access the appropriate federal and state low-income assistance programs; and (3) Catapults the individual to a future by offering GED classes, job training, and health and wellness, acculturation courses. We also had our three main community events in partnership with Goodwill and other agencies to served hundreds of families with a Job fair, Free health clinics and food truck distributions. Other services are referral to clients that experience a property lost due fire or other critical event through Mustard Seed Furniture, and monthly distributions of care & snack packages for homeless. We have also developed an emergency response plan for residents from Puerto Rico affected by hurricane Maria that are relocating to Central Florida. We are providing shelter, emergency food, clothing, Access and referrals to other agencies. At this time, we have served over 300 families.
Our goal is improving our services by providing financial & health workshops and continue our services by obtaining a permanent facility. This will benefit our residents to received services through the week instead of once a week.
