Our goal is for children and families who visit us to feel at home. We know that a hospital can be a scary place for a young child. So we’ve gone above and beyond to create a care center that is friendly and perhaps even a little fun. At AdventHealth for Children we have made it our purpose to provide your family with the most advanced pediatric medical services built on the foundation of treating

all our patients as if they were are own. With more then 140 pediatric specialists practicing in 35 specialties dedicated to healing children, we have built a connected network of 28 trusted locations from Urgent Cares to Emergency Rooms and from Specialty Clinics to NICUs. We appreciate and encourage the conversations and perspectives shared by the diverse AdventHealth online community. To ensure this space is safe and welcoming, all visitors are expected to adhere to our community standards, which you can review here: https://www.adventhealth.com/adventhealth-community-standards. When Dan and Leilani had their rainbow baby after years of trying, they never imagined her first week would include major surgery to remove a golf ball-sized tumor from her mouth. Standing in her NICU hospital room before surgery, they felt overwhelmed and afraid, so they turned to their faith. They began playing worship music and singing. Then, they heard their nurse Caitlin quietly singing along. That moment gave them strength when they needed it most.

Drop a 💚 in the comments below if you’re the parent of a NICU warrior.

Emely spent years facing the unknown.

Diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome at just 4 years old, she and her family faced constant ups and downs, searching for answers across states and even countries. When her condition worsened, her mom knew they needed a different kind of care.

At AdventHealth for Children, everything began to shift. Emely’s family felt seen and supported right away. Her care team took time to understand her history, adjust her treatment, and guide them through the next steps with clarity and compassion.

After one month on the waitlist, including one call that didn’t lead to a transplant, hope came. Just one week later, Emely received the kidney she needed.

Through every challenge, her family held on to faith. They found gratitude even in the hardest moments and now carry a renewed sense of hope.

Today, Emely is thriving. Her energy and joy have returned, and she feels like a completely new person.

“We feel like family here,” her mom shared. “It’s been a blessing to be with AdventHealth for Children.”

When a child is facing cancer or a complex reconstructive surgical journey, every moment of care matters.

For Cinthia Duarte, PA, what makes head and neck surgery so meaningful is the opportunity to help children heal and grow, not just treat a condition.

She walks alongside families in some of their most vulnerable moments, offering compassion, skill, and a steady presence when it matters most. As a Latina provider, she also brings a deep sense of connection, helping families feel seen, heard, and supported.

At AdventHealth for Children, this is what whole-person care looks like — caring for body, mind, and spirit, and surrounding each child and family with hope.

What began as hives during a summer vacation quickly became something more serious for Nate. When a growing mass in his neck led his family to AdventHealth for Children, they were searching for answers. What they found was a care team that saw Nate as more than a patient.

After testing revealed a fist-size tumor in his neck and a positive gene for paragangliomas, Nate’s journey became complex. Over the course of one week, he underwent 3 procedures totaling 20+ hours of surgery to remove the tumor.

The road to recovery was long. For 3 months, he couldn’t swallow or eat. Healing took time, patience, and support.

Step by step, Nate began to heal. After a month in the hospital, he returned home. Over time, his voice came back, growing stronger until it fully returned last month. Today, Nate is back on the soccer field, doing what he loves most.

Through it all, his family never felt alone. Guided by faith and supported by a compassionate team, they found reassurance in every call, every answered question, and every moment of care. His mom, Anna, shared, “Dr. Lopez and his staff were amazing. I don’t know how I would have gotten through this without their support. Dr. Lopez has a true calling for this work. He cared for Nate like he was his own child, not just as a patient, but as someone deeply valued.”

At AdventHealth for Children, we walk with families through life’s toughest moments, so they can move forward feeling whole.

A special kind of music filled the halls of AdventHealth for Children. From bedside performances to gentle lullabies for our littlest patients, Opera Orlando brought moments of comfort, joy, and calm through each note.

We’re honored to be the Official Health Care Provider of Opera Orlando and grateful for the talented artists who reminded us healing can be found in music, too.
