Our goal is for children and families who visit us to feel at home. We know that a hospital can be a scary place for a young child. So we’ve gone above and beyond to create a care center that is friendly and perhaps even a little fun. At AdventHealth for Children we have made it our purpose to provide your family with the most advanced pediatric medical services built on the foundation of treating all our patients as if they were are own. With more then 140 pediatric specialists practicing in 35 specialties dedicated to healing children, we have built a connected network of 28 trusted locations from Urgent Cares to Emergency Rooms and from Specialty Clinics to NICUs. We appreciate and encourage the conversations and perspectives shared by the diverse AdventHealth online community. In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, patients from the SMILE with Stella Tremonti Down Syndrome Clinic are sharing their stories through art in partnership with Britt's Bunch, a nonprofit founded by a woman with Down syndrome.

Visit the exhibit in the AdventHealth Orlando lobby through March 23 and feel inspired by the beauty of every story.

For children living with sickle cell disease, healing is about more than treatment. It’s about feeling supported, seen, and cared for through every step of the journey.

The Emily Whitehead Foundation visited AdventHealth for Children to deliver Believe Bundles to patients undergoing treatments like gene therapy and bone marrow transplant. Each bundle offers comfort and encouragement during a challenging time, with items thoughtfully selected by Victoria Gray, the first person to receive curative gene therapy for sickle cell disease.

AdventHealth for Children is honored to offer advanced treatments like gene therapy as a path toward a cure, while caring for every child in body, mind, and spirit.

After a routine check for a heart murmur, our pediatric cardiology team discovered that Trey would need emergency heart surgery. On Christmas Day, Trey received life-saving heart surgery even before symptoms appeared.

From diagnosis through surgery and recovery, the Pediatric Cardiac ICU team walked closely with Trey’s entire family. His parents are so thankful to everyone in the PCICU for taking exceptional care of Trey and showing their family such compassion and support. ❤️

This past week, we had some special visitors both at the hospital and at our West Lakes Early Learning Center! 🐿️

Cast members from Likah! A Puppy Musical stopped by patient rooms at the hospital to say hello and the West Lakes Early Learning Center to read Likah's book!

Both visits brought smiles and meaningful moments to the kids. Inspired by themes of friendship, family, and navigating life’s challenges, Likah reminds us of the power of love, resilience, and finding joy in each new day — something the kids show us every day.

Two days after birth, Daisy’s pediatrician heard a heart murmur that led to a diagnosis of Tetralogy of Fallot.

At six months old, Daisy underwent open-heart surgery to correct the four heart defects associated with Tetralogy of Fallot.

Right before surgery, our pediatric heart surgeon, Dr. Mora, discovered an additional defect—Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return—which he was able to repair, sparing her from needing a second surgery.

Daisy’s mom shares, "Dr. Mora took the time to explain everything clearly, so we felt prepared and supported every step of the way. We are so grateful for the entire team and how they cared for Daisy." ❤️
