Good afternoon, all!

Had someone ask me why I run my clinic as a cash based clinic. Too often, clinics are held hostage to the whim of insurance plans and will often limit certain care plans or charge extra for care not covered by insurance, which the list of types of care being limited are increasing. This inherently can cause patient to take longer to heal, get a false impression that they got everything they needed, and often have to pay out of pocket anyways for care outside of the limits given by the plan. So by not being locked into a contract, I am able to give whatever my patient needs, educate them, examine them, and treat them to the best of my abilities without having to treat 2-5 patients all at once to profit, have conversations of what is covered and not and stating they have to pay what isn’t covered. Back at it again. Never skip leg days. Haha seriously. Don’t neglect any region of your body. Used to work with a lot of colleagues who hated legs so badly, they ended up being buff on top and held up by tiny legs and complain they can’t wear shorts. As it is with all things, balance is needed, in life, our workouts, and our spending habits. Plus, when we balance all regions with attention of our workouts, it helps us handle the stress of daily life we put on ourselves. So never skip any region of focus. Do you skip leg days?

May 1- starting cardio to keep my heart and lung health up. Not my favorite but it definitely has been a part of my workout each week. Remember, we need a good combination of cardio and muscle training with body weights or weights to keep us healthy all around. One cannot ensure health without the other.
