OCA- A Special Place for Special Needs OCA focuses on what an individual CAN DO.

Providing Opportunity, Building Community, Maximizing Ability for Individuals With Autism and Other Disabilities www.GoOCA.org

*All media content was taken with participants permission and does not include anyone currently receiving therapy services. OCA was founded in 2008 with the knowledge that children and adults with Autism and other disabilities need more opportunities to engage in age-ap

propriate activities with their typical peers. We offer Recreation Programs, Adult Program, Camps, Special Olympics training, ABA Therapy and other services for the Special Needs Community in Central Florida. “Special Needs” are commonly defined by what a person CAN’T do.

When A.J., OCA board member and former chair, first started searching for programs for his son, he wasn’t sure what to look for. He just knew he needed a place where his child would be truly accepted.

That feeling is something so many families know.

At OCA, we walk alongside you with guidance, understanding, and a community that truly cares. The connections we build with our families are lasting. We’re here as your child grows, celebrating each step together. 💙

Finding the right summer camp for your neurodivergent teen can feel overwhelming. The right environment makes all the difference.

In this guide, we share what truly matters: supportive staff who understand individual needs, small group settings, and programs that build confidence, connection, and independence.

Because summer should be more than just a break. It should be a place where your child feels seen, supported, and able to thrive.

Big moments for some of our smallest athletes 💙

We were proud to welcome Special Olympics Florida to OCA for a Young Athletes program focused on building skills, confidence, and connection through play.

From movement activities to teamwork exercises, every moment was about having fun and growing together.

Autism diagnoses have surged over the past decade, but support has not kept pace.

Laura Kunzweiler, OCA’s Board Vice Chair, sees the gap clearly: too many individuals with disabilities are still waiting for the services, care, and opportunities they deserve.

Help us fill the gap by donating today at gooca.org 💙

At OCA, inclusion means more than just showing up. It means being seen, supported, and never giving up on one another. 💙

For Schaefer and her family, OCA has become exactly that. A place of growth, connection, and unwavering support.

“When Schaefer was finishing high school, we had no idea what came next. Then we found OCA, and everything changed.”

Like many families, there were moments of uncertainty. But what stood out most was OCA’s commitment: “We are family. We don’t give up on family.”

Through personalized support like the Companion Program, Schaefer found her rhythm and her joy. Now, she looks forward to each day, excited to see her friends and the staff who truly care. For her family, OCA provides something priceless. Peace of mind today and hope for the future.

“There is no place like OCA. We are grateful every single day that we found them.”

The end of the month is quickly approaching, and we are halfway to meeting our goal and unlocking a $20,000 match from The Joe & Sarah Galloway Foundation.

Every dollar you give right now is doubled, helping individuals with special needs access critical resouces and build meaningful connections.

Let’s finish April strong. Every step forward makes a difference. 💙

This or that… OCA style!

From the sensory garden 🌿 or gym 🏀, our participants are making the tough choices!

From calming outdoor moments to high-energy fun, every preference tells a story about how OCA empowers our participants with the power of choice. 💙

Which one are YOU choosing?

For many individuals on the autism spectrum, access to programs, resources, and support isn’t always easy, or affordable. Organizations like OCA are changing that by empowering a community full of talented, hardworking, and often misunderstood individuals.

Michelle Bilsky, OCA's Board Chair, shares a simple truth: when we invest in people, we strengthen our entire community. Businesses, families, and individuals all have a role to play.

OCA is growing to meet the need ✨

We’re expanding into Seminole County to serve more neurodiverse children and adults across Central Florida.

Today, OCA supports 300+ clients and delivers more than 130,000 service hours each year, yet demand continues to outpace available services.

Our new Longwood location will help bring programs and support closer to families in Seminole, Lake, Volusia County and surrounding communities, starting with our adult programs and summer break camp.

The new location will open in early June. To learn more about the Seminole campus and available programs, visit https://bit.ly/4mimlYp
