Auntie Sewing Squad has been a 100% volunteer run effort getting homemade cloth masks, PPE, hygiene items and other relief supplies right into the communities across North America who need it! We work in solidarity with BIPOC communities and their mutual aid efforts that have long since been ignored by the Federal Government to get them the resources they need RIGHT NOW to survive this pandemic.
Here are some highlights of our work:
💥 Hundreds of active volunteers across the North America!
💥 250,000 masks donated to healthcare workers, First Nations, Farmworkers, Incarcerated Communities, Unhoused communities, and Migrants seeking Asylum
💥 SIX relief vehicles to the Navajo Nation with more vehicles en route
💥 Sewing supplies sent to sewing crews at Rosebud and Navajo Nation
💥 Support of one vehicle donation filled with supplies to Standing Rock
💥 Several pallets of winter clothing to Standing Rock and Black Hills
💥 Free Kids Summer Sewing Camp
💥 Thousands of KN-95 masks and Water sent to farmworkers affected by CA fires
We have no overhead costs and no staff salaries-- so every cent you donate goes right into our relief work! We also haggle, bargain hunt, beg and plead when shopping for supplies to get the best bang for our dollar. Your donations will cover postage and shipping costs, materials costs, or the purchase of direct relief aid (KN-95 masks or water) for vulnerable communities.
