Looking for food inspo for the big game?🏈

If you still need something buffalo-flavored for your spread, give these cauliflower nuggets a go. They’re simple, snackable, and kid-tested–this is a recipe developed by Kitchen House Chef Ambassador for our skill-building series with Neighborhood Center kids! 😋

2 heads of cauliflower
4 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons garlic powder
Pinch of salt and pepper
¼ pound butter (1 stick)
4 tablespoons Frank’s Red Hot sauce
2 tablespoons honey
Carrot sticks and celery sticks (for garnish)
Ranch or blue cheese dressing (for dipping)

Meet Sara!

Sara is the other half of our dynamic duo of Executive Directors alongside Betsy. Her mission to advance food and environmental education has led her to make an impact with The Nature Conservancy, Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, 4Roots Farm Campus, and now The Kitchen House!

Sara’s favorite way to cook a meal is to visit a farmer’s market and let her imagination be inspired by the season.

Simple Starts is all about easy ways to grow your enjoyment for time spent in the kitchen. This February, we’re growing microgreens!

You’ll taste a variety of microgreens with a garden snack, learn all about their health properties and ways to use them, and start your first tray to take home and grow. An easy and delicious hobby to start in the new year!

If you drop by on Jan 17, make sure to bring those kitchen knives you haven’t sharpened in a while! Our friend, custom knife maker will be sharpening (non-serrated) kitchen knives from 9am-1pm, and generously donating all proceeds to The Kitchen House.
