ICAG. repost.
Who are you showing some extra love to this month? Whether you celebrate Valentine's day or not it is definitely a time to reflect on those you love dearly.
One thing you can reflect on is if you have enough life insurance. Life insurance is to protect your loved ones financially for when you graduate from earth prematurely or at a way later time. It is ensuring that you are not leaving a liability or burden behind. Funeral Expenses can cost from $10,000 - $25,000 or more.
Life Expenses can range from $50K-$100K or more depending on how much your Love One relies on your income.
If you are single or know someone who is single and need some guidance in helping you with Insuring Your Loved Ones as a single human.
This category can fit someone that is very young or old and unmarried or without a domestic partner. It can also fit someone who is a single parent.
👧🏽Single & Young: First, for those that are young please get some life insurance while you are still healthy and young. It will mean that your cost of insurance will not be as expensive if you wait until you are over 40-50 years old.
Ask your parents if they have an existing policy for you. If they do, find out more information about it. If they don't, I highly recommend you get something.
The honest truth is that we are all going to graduate from the earth at some point, the only thing is that none of us know when that will happen. It could be an accident or sickness at any time of life or it could be once you are a lot older.
Ask yourself, "Who will take care of my funeral expenses?" "Do I have enough money in the bank to take care of this expense (do I have the right beneficiary set up on my bank account?)?"
"Do I currently have enough life insurance?" If your answer is no, please do your research on life insurance and speak to a financial professional.
👵Single & Seasoned: I am currently single and in my mid 40's. I have more than enough life insurance. I have ensured that my sons and their families do not have to worry about my funeral expense being a financial liability or burden.
If you are a person that is older and have no children or are an empty nester and do not have life insurance its time to ask yourself some similar questions...
"Who will take care of my funeral expenses?" "Do I have enough money in the bank to take care of this expense (do I have the right beneficiary set up on my bank account?)?" "Do I currently have enough life insurance?" "Do I have a funeral plan set up with a funeral home?"
If your answer is no, please do your research on life insurance and speak to a financial professional and/or a funeral home expert.
👩👧👧Single Parent: I was a single parent for over 10 years and was 20 years old when I had my first son. I didn't know anything about life insurance at that time.
I wish I had someone come up to me and tell me to get life insurance in case something were to happen to me prematurely. In retrospect, I am obviously still here but the future is not always predictable.
I think about how it could've been a burden on their dad and the stress it could've caused him and my sons. As a single parent, you have several factors to consider, not just funeral expenses.
Ask yourself, "Who will take care of my children if I graduate from the earth before they are self-sufficient?" "Do I have enough money in the bank to help the person who take care of my kids financially? "Do I currently have enough life insurance?" "Who will take care of my funeral expenses?"
"Do I have enough money in the bank to take care of this expense (do I have the right beneficiary set up on my bank account?)?" "Do I currently have enough life insurance?"
"Do I have a funeral plan set up with a funeral home?" If your answer is no to most of these questions, please do your research on life insurance and speak to a financial professional and a funeral home expert.
💕Happy Love Month!!💕
