I LOVE being outdoors in nature — it’s where I feel most alive.
As humans, we are part of nature, yet modern life keeps us indoors most of the day. And I really think we forget what that does to us.
Too much time inside leads to low mood, irritability, even depression.
Winter has always been hard for humans — and it’s especially hard for me. I don’t care how many layers I wear… I just can’t get warm.
I miss the flowers.
I miss the leaves.
I miss sitting in the grass.
I miss the smell of nature when everything is lush and alive.
But winter reminds us of something important.
God gives us this season to rest. To slow down. To recharge.
So for now, we find joy in other ways.
We stay grateful.
And we trust that, in time, everything we love will bloom again.
