BIG SHIFTS HAPPEN IN A SHORT TIME! Had a powerful 10 MINUTE session at this week’s Audubon Park Community Market . ✨

A client stopped by with significant shoulder tension and limited mobility—the kind that feels stubborn and stuck, even after other efforts. They were pretty sore when they arrived.😬

I started with 5 minutes of focused work around the shoulders to warm everything up. But the real magic happened when I moved to the feet!

By working on the reflexology points and meridians connected to the shoulder area, we were able to facilitate a release from a distance. When I checked the shoulders again just a few minutes later, the tissue had completely reset. The tension was simply... gone.✨️

The best part? The client immediately confirmed the huge shift in how they felt. And a few minutes after leaving, they circled back to share that their movement was "drastically improved" and they were feeling incredible relief. 🎉

It was a beautiful reminder of how connected our bodies are and the powerful results we can achieve together. I got two thumbs up when I shared this and was encouraged to share more, which i am usually cautious to do out of respect for confidentiality (I think I got it OK here though😉) .

Do you know what acupressure is? 😉 I often need to explain it since it's not as commonly understood as acupuncture. Like yesterday, for example... my kiddo called from the nurse's office and asked to be picked up from school early for sharp stomach pains. The specific request was for me to do acupressure and oils and hurry! Upon saying goodbye, a friend of hers wondered if that meant me pushing her around, and how would that help her stomach ache? 🤣
Both acupressure and acupuncture are rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and both focus on stimulating specific points along the body's energy pathways (meridians) to promote balance and healing. The major difference is what is used to do the stimulation...
*🙌 Acupressure: Uses pressure applied with fingers, thumbs, palms, elbows, or specialized tools to stimulate acupoints. It is non-invasive as it does not break the skin.
* 🪡 Acupuncture: Involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific acupoints by a trained and licensed practitioner.
Acupressure is Non-invasive (since it doesn't involve needles), cost-effective (since you can learn to do it yourself and it's less expensive in general), yet still delivers many benefits like it reduces pain, promotes relaxation, eases stress and anxiety, improves sleep, reduces fatigue, alleviates nausea, improves circulation and it can be used alongside conventional medical treatments to enhance their effects and improve overall well-being. Big wins in many ways! 🫶
Thankfully, for my kiddo, it can work quite quickly, especially with the addition of essential oils! Consider booking a session to try out how your body responds to acupressure! 🌞
