Today, I want to speak directly to all the incredible mothers out there who are bravely working to heal from codependency. You are a cycle breaker and I applaud you. I also understand the unique challenges that come with this motherhood, especially when you've grown up feeling invisible and having to meet the needs of your own children can be triggering. But please know that you are not alone, and your healing journey is no joke.
It's so easy to judge ourselves and feel guilty when we find ourselves struggling to meet the needs of our children while navigating our own healing process. But I want to remind you, that it's okay to give yourself grace. Healing is not always linear, and it's a journey of self-discovery, self-compassion, and self-love. It’s normal to feel frustrated, sad, angry and even resentful sometimes.
One of the most crucial aspects of this healing journey is learning to love and nurture your wounded inner child and to accept all the emotions that surface without judgment. Embracing and acknowledging the pain and unmet needs from your own childhood is essential. Being honest about your need for help, or struggles is you breaking the cycle.
You are an incredible cycle breaker, a mom who is willing to do the inner work so that your children don't have to endure what you went through. That, is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Your journey matters, and you are making a profound difference in the lives of your children and the world!
Sending you all my love, support, and admiration on this beautiful journey of healing and motherhood.
