Trauma nurse liaison Madison Eberhardt at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is breaking down 3 common baby safe sleep myths we hear all the time:

❌ Co-sleeping is always safe
❌ Stuffed animals belong in the crib
❌ Babies should sleep on their stomachs

The truth? Babies sleep safest alone, on their backs, in an empty crib. These simple steps can make a life-saving difference. ✅

One year ago, Olivia reached a major milestone — her kidney transplant and the start of a new chapter in her care. 🧡

From an early age, Olivia’s care team knew a transplant would be needed. By age 2, she was listed for a kidney, and her family waited with hope for the call that would change everything. That call came one year ago, when Olivia underwent her kidney transplant — an important step toward better health and new possibilities.

Today, Olivia is cared for by Jorge A. Ramirez, MD, at our Hewell Kids’ Kidney Center and is also followed by urology, colorectal, GI, and orthopedic specialists. Most recently, she completed 12 weeks at the Feeding Difficulties Center, where she reached another huge milestone — becoming tube-free. 🌟

Over the past year, Olivia has shown incredible strength and resilience. 💪 As we celebrate her 1st kidney-versary, we also honor the selfless donor who made this life-changing gift possible. We are deeply grateful for the hope and healing organ donation brings to families like Olivia’s.

Here’s to one year stronger and thriving. 🎈🎂
