Today is , and we would like to present a fun fact from Florida Health about an individualized educational plan, otherwise known as an “IEP.” But first, what is an IEP? According to Florida Health, an IEP is designed to meet your child’s unique educational needs. It’s not a contract, but it does guarantee the necessary support and services that are agreed upon and written for your child. Florida Health goes on to explain that an IEP must contain the following information: Present levels of educational performance, Goals and Special education and related services.

Today is Friday, and I wanted to share an important fact from MQ Mental Health Research: they informed us that 1 in 6 children have a diagnosable mental health disorder, which means about 5 students in every classroom! It's crucial for parents, guardians, teachers, and family members to have open conversations with children about their thoughts and feelings and to seek help from mental health professionals when needed.

Keller was left blind and deaf at 19 months of age due to a crippling disease, “brain fever,” which experts today believed was meningitis or scarlet fever.
