COVID-19 vaccines continue to undergo the most intensive safety monitoring in U.S. history.

A recent study showed that, from December 2020 through June 2021, most reported reactions after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) were non-serious. Also, side effects were mild and got better in a few days. CDC recommends that everyone ages 5+ years get up to date on their COVID-19 vaccines, including a booster for everyone 12+ years when eligible.
